As much as I will sorely miss Goren and Eames, I plan on joining all those who will be watching Nichols/Burrows next season. At least for a while. And I will post my opinions first & foremost on this board. ;D

Patcat does plan on continuing with her EOTW (Thank you Pat!) and we can hopefully spend more time on those discussions.

I also hope that more members here will consider watching the mothership and posting on that subforum. It's such a great show lately. :D

I will come back for Goren and Logan discussions, if we ever get to them. I don't blame JG but have no need to watch the character rehashed through someone else.

I'm with mj on this one. I have to go through considerable trouble to see the episodes, and while I like JG, I've just lost interest. Not in him, I'd like to know more about Zack, but I've lost interest in a network that has no consideration for it's fans. Who tells me that by the end of next season they won't decide that JG is too costly or that ZN is too light/no light enough? No thank you.

Excuse me?

I don't think we'd have this discussion if it weren't for piss poor, sloppy writing. I think VDO finally grew tired of fighting for quality.

I know, but I wonder if his weight gain somehow ticked off the powers that be, at some point. I am not saying it's right, just a possible factor.

Im not going to try and interpret what he meant by singing a song, or his references in ( The George Gerkie Cowboy Experience) only Vincent knows the messages and meanings, having said that.

Its nice he can now hopefully be free of all the "what ifs and personal" speculation that LOCI has given him over the years. I wish him well on his career in the future and will always follow his performances. Im not fussed or intrigued by what choices Vincent has made or makes as an entertainer or privately, just that im glad he is back to doing films again.

He is obviously very happy with his family life and career direction, and he did well to stay on CI for 8+ years respectively. Of course things dont happen over night, Vincent deciding to leave CI would have been long thought about for some time, some interviews pointed to his wanting out. Im sure with the closness of Vincent and Katie Erbe which is evident, she would have known his intentions.

So now a new CI with new characters, it will test the longevity of LOCI forums on the net for sure, although i doubt it will have the same impact, dedication and following that Vincent originally started in LOCI, that is after all why this and other forums exist today, you only need read the board to see that, so good luck to a great actor :-*

Hmm, didn't he say as much in Paris? At least that's what I gathered from it.

Though I'd like to throw in that JG isn't the "usual hottie" either. If it were simply about the looks, they'd have hired some non-name actor who really has the looks.

That is a good point Tjara.

I've never considered Jeff a hottie just as I've never considered Vincent one either. Nevertheless, they both have that certain something - screen presence.

I don't think Vincent has let himself go. I think he's a human being like the rest of us and prone to the same things we all face as we age.

I think that if the negative mud-slinging had been kept to a minimum, things might have been better for him personally, but overall, NBC wants Dick Wolf out of their picture. They are making sure that all of his shows get gone. Just wait. The Mothership will soon be gone and so will SVU. Just a matter of time. And I don't expect it will be long.

Unless someone at NBC finally grows a brain - and some balls.

I've never heard of Matt Pinfield, or any of the talent mentioned in the article, and can't imagine anyone paying $6,000 a ticket for a rendition of "A Christmas Carol," no matter who starred in it. I also can't figure out how an actor pretending to be a cowboy fit into the story of Ebenezer Scrooge?

I'm confused. And I have to say that the show sounds beyond odd - even for New York City. I really hope VDO will soon stop this Gerkie act and do something worthy of his enormous talent.

I'll second that. I hope Mr. D'Onofrio got this schtick, whatever it was, out of his system and moves on to something else. And soon.
