Hi everybody! I hope someone here will be able to answer that question. Which season is it where the second team (Logan and what's here name) is introduced? We here in Germany are not sure wether it's season 4 or 5. I assume they've suppressed the whole season 4, it it is the 5. like some of us say. Thanks

Thanks Logan first made an appearance in season 4 and then became a semi-regular doing half the episodes in season 5 with and now in season 6. Annabella Sciora (sp) was his partner in season 5 and Julianne Nicholson is his partner in this current season here in the US which is season 6.

Thanks a million. So now I know for sure that they didn't broadcast season 4 here in Germany. Logan and his partner are alternating with Goren/Eames and I'm mad as hell!!! Whatever happened to season 4? Are they airing it on Mars?

Goren's original voice is much better but I think the german one is good to you, what do you think, folks? I remember the bad french version.

It's dubbed - of course. Not even subtitles. If you want to watch the original version, you have to buy it on DVD. Up to now, you can't even get season 3 for region 2. I've got to get myself a new DVD-player WITHOUT region codes or let my old one be modified. I'm not really a tech-wizard.

Difficult question... Since I became a LOCI fan after watching the German, dubbed version, I can't really agree. I only bought the original because I wanted to hear what they really said, esp. some things that I just couldn't imagine Americans would say as bluntly as we Germans. Well, I was mistaken. I'm in the dubbing business myself, so I have to say the German speaker is excellent when it comes to technique. VDO is REALLY hard to dubb; all those little pauses he makes, those 'er' (What's the plural of er? Ers?) and everything. Dubbed voices are inescapably an issue. Of course the actors own voice is always better. It just fits, if you know what I mean, but Goren's German voice is quite good and completely in character. But that's only my humble opinion. I know there are some who don't like it. Here in G. there aren't too many people who can watch the original version not even with untertitles, because they simply don't understand what the hell they're talking about. All this police jargon drives them crazy, not to mention the abbreviations like DOA, last known, perp and so on. I lent some of my Loco DVDs to my English students (I'm an English teacher as well), telling them to watch it WITH the English undertitles. They almost despaired and kept phoning me 'What does this or that mean?' So I gave that up. Okay, to cut a long story short: I think Goren's German voice is very good, but I still like the original better. I hope that answers your question.

I am curious to find out how Eames comes across in German. You mention, okaadaak, that it surpised you that Americans would be as blunt as Germans. Well, Eames' snarks are the epitomy of bluntness. What is your opinion of the German voice of Eames?
You, too Beachboy. Please?

Well, I never watched Desperade Housewives, simply wasn't interested, sorry. But I think American Series are ALWAYS hard to watch for us poor Germans :-) Though we learn English from the age of 9/10 on, it's British English; Oxford English to be exact. And in all the good TV stuff it's not exactly BE. Some of my friends told me (after watching the original LOCI version) they simply LOVED Nicole Hitchins/Elisabeth whatever (Goren's nemesis), because she was soooo easy to understand... Eames' German voice is quite good, I think. Nothing to complain about.

Yes, Oxford English is changing but it's still got a long way to go to resemble American English at least a bit. Just today I let my students listen to some Frank Sinatra songs - he has such a marvellous articulation. I almost fainted when they could understand most of it. ;-) Watching mouths is the biggest part of my dubbing job, lol. I just hate it when the actors 'swallow' most part of the words the have to say. But Goren's mouth is a pleasure to look at.
