I'm so happy I could cry! ;D I was reading the TWoP board and found out that "MacGyver" is now shown two hours a day, Monday to Friday on Spike TV (you know, the channel which shows Miami Vice and ST:TNG). I've missed a few , but I'm sure it will repeat again. I've been looking for it to come out on DVD, but the only thing I've ever come across is sets on VCD. It is on from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, Eastern Time...for anyone else that's interested. I know Observer listed it on the list of other favourite shows.

So you are a MacGyver fan? I liked the first seasons, the last got to preachy. I had a fellow who looked just like MacGyver, what a nice piece of eye candy.

Me a MacGyver fan? Well...just a tiny bit! ;D Well, they are on Season 1 episodes right now. I need to buy lots more tapes. Too bad I don't have a DVD player that records. ETA: This is the most elated I've been all year. It took a freakin' old show to cheer me up!

the theme music rocks .... that alone will perk up anyone's spirit. And watching him overcome EVERYTHING while staying a clam cool collected guy - I am with you on this show. I used to watch it with my Dad & even he did not pick it apart (he was in the air force & a total pain in the ass to watch an "airport" or "airplane" move with).
I hope it was only work that bogged your spirit down today - that can be left behind on the drive home, eh?

You are so right about the music! Work was/is part of it. I dislocated my right elbow near the end of December. I just had it set for the third time this past Saturday. It's getting better, but its really annoying when I can't do a simple thing like turn the door knob or the tap without feeling pain. And unfortunately, it can't be left to the drive home. Sometimes, it gets more painful during my drive. And I swear I can feel sympathy pains in my left arm.

Choices, choices.... ;D I usually have Stargate SG-1 on in the background as I'm getting ready in the mornings. This morning...the smarty pants MacGyver on one and the smart ass Col. O'Neill on the other. Must say though...RDA has aged well.

now that's really tempting for me ..... really. That was a show I watched with my father & also has nice eye candy ;D Is it all the episodes? Like most shows - the very last season was hokey and not up to standard, but the rest was fresh and fun.

Yes...all episodes, on six DVDs. The price is quite tempting. Amazon.com has it listed for about $27 for the set; Amazon.ca for $32(Cdn).
