In the recent episode with Martin Short as the "psychic" BD Wong's character says he's using something called FACS. This is supposedly a system for watching micro-movements in a person's face, essentially to gather more information than what s/he is actually saying, and to determine that person's "tells."
Is this system real? Has anyone ever heard anything about it?

face-and-emotion.com/dataface/facs/description.jspHere’s a website for you. I would say it body language for the face. My family and friends know when I am lying, because I stick my tongue inside my cheek and rub it. However, there whole lot more to this science. I remember when I was a child and Nixon was visiting China. There was talk about how when he had met Chairman, Mao Tse-tung for the first time. Nixon also met one of his advisors. This person was only their to study the characteristics of Nixon‘s face to see if he was an honorable person. medind.nic.in/jae/t03/i2/jaet03i2p189.pdf

Well, it is also found in all primates .... many studies of facial expressions in primate have been done and they clearly show intents to fight or submit or share food or accept a mate .... all these things are so very important that it would be more of a curiosity if there were not ways of non-verbally clearly communicating above intentions.
Also - it has been studied that even prey - preditor relationships recognize intents to fight to the bitter end or submit.
