I have a question and I don't know where to post it, so I'll post it here. If I posted it in the wrong place, some one smack me. hehehe How do Medical Examiners decide cause of death between suicide and accidental overdose? And Trisha, we are in the same area (right now), so hush about snow!! (I live in Maryland during the summer.)

This week we are having t-shirt weather. It was 24 Celsius yesterday and it is supposed to get close to the 20's today.
Rain expected again, starting on Monday though. Oh well, April showers, May flowers and all that!

Snow?!?! We're in the 80s here! We had a homemade slip and slide out beside the dorm, black tarp with water and dish soap. (The thing fell apart by the time I got out.) I lay out in a swimsuit--with sunscreen, of course-- to listen to music. Hey, I had turned in my second big paper and the next thing isn't due til Monday. After several late-nights and last minutes, I indulged. Although I think we're supposed to cool off this weekend, I'm not sure.

We were in the 80's just a few days ago! It's gotten much cooler, though, about 50 today. It's been dipping into the low 30's at night, and we are to expect freezing rain tonight that may turn to snow. Sorry NicoleMarie I'm not happy about it either. Maybe we should all go visit Catbird and Meltex this weekend!

Trisha and I seem to share the weather. They not only mentioned snow, they have promised it for this weekend. Since we already broke the all time record for snow, I thought we were off the hook. I should know better than to put the shovel away in April. Now, I'm off to save my lilac bush. They say to cover them with newspaper. Hope it works.

How do Medical Examiners decide cause of death between suicide and accidental overdose? I believe that the scene of the death would play a big part in the decision of whether or not it was an accidental overdose or suicide. What was the person doing? What kind of music where they listening to if they were listening to music. Was everything neat and orderly? Was it a party like atmosphere, with snacks and drinks? Did they have a long or short history of drug abuse? I think these questions, plus more would need to be answered before a ruling on the death could be made.....I hope that helps, maybe someone else would know more about it On the lighter side of things: Spring has sprung. It went up to 88 degrees the other day. So I decided it was time to shed the pants and get out the skirts. I went to get dressed the next day, pulled out my new sandals that I bought about 2 months ago. They were in a box in the closet. Threw the sandals to the ground and as I went to put my feet into them. I discovered I had 2 left footed sandals:P Ahhhh but, Spring has sprung, and the bluebells are blooming:D

Well, that'll teach me to go shooting my mouth off. We dropped to the FIFTIES this past weekend, and are just now in the sixties. In late April!!! Welcome to North Carolina. My aunt laughs about how she has to pack everything from flip-flops to a parka whenever she flies back home, cause we never know what's gonna happen.
But I am quite ecstatic because I am done with the round of papers, turned in my project, and I am so glad to be turning in those sources, if I read one more word about Fort Fisher...sorry, but around here people seem to think that the war's still going on, and when that spills into the authors of scholarly texts I get irritated. If the weather were anything like seasonal I'd be outside with Jimmy Buffett, but as it is I'll settle for a movie and early to bed.
Later all, Catbird

It's spring in Indiana, where you can experience all 4 seasons in a 24 hour period.
Friday began near 80, temperatures dropped throughout the day, at about 5 we had hail the size of marbles, and snow in the evening
I carry an extra sweatshirt in the car at all times.

Cassie, very well put about the suicide vs murder I agree that the ME really relies on the detectives to find out how and why the victim would have come in contact with the toxin. Unles that ME is Jordan Cavenagh (sp?), then she'll do all the investigative work on her own ;D Patcat, from 80 to HAIL! Holy cow, I thought we had it bad. It hails here occationally, but it's always small little beads of ice. Now, in your case, isn't what you described a sign of tornado friendly weather systems?

We've swung from the 80's to rain to cold to who knows. California weather at it's finest. About the only thing we won't get is snow. I've just been enjoying being unchained from my computer after tax season.
Finally got a chance to watch some of the CI episodes of the past couple of months. It was maddening not watching them when they aired but it's kind of fun to watch a bunch of them in a row after reading everyone's comments on them.
