A-- One of my favorites. Goren was definitely distracted with his mother. Great emotion and sense of frustration and about to "pop".

I never voted on this episode. In hindsight, I gave it an A. It really stands up to the test of time.
Funny that we all believed Goren to be really emotional & over the top. Now we have his performance in "Untethered," which makes this mild in comparison.

Wonder who picked up everything from off the floor and put it back on his desk? Maybe that is why Eames is mad? lol Prolly reminded her of how her Santa mug was broken. Damn you, Goren! [shakes fist] ;D

My vote is '' A ''. I like this episode especially when the investigation stops and no one can think of anything (too afraid of the worst), Goren takes the lead and solves the crime. On the other hand I wasn't impressed with Fran Drescher's performance. She just didn't fit the role (in my opinion). Also here is clearly shown how much the job means to Goren. He loves his mama but is torn when it comes to leaving the job. He could have explained it to Ross to find a replacement ( I'm sure he would understand -he's human after all). But I can understand him completely. I wonder if he was thinking about that at the hospital room when his mother died.
