Just a question, NicoleMarie. Which other LOCI boards do you frequent? BTW, I smoke myself, and I've done that quitting thing 10 times over and over again or so. The quitting is not the problem, it's the staying like this. O crap, only thinking about that makes me…better not write any more.

mmm, nice pics. thanks for posting, patcat
He does look good. Kathryn looked sexy especially in the black stocking knee highs. It's a look you don't get from her on the show.

Rosemary, I visit several other CI boards but only post on a few. Why? Anyway, regarding smoking, some people quit and stay stopped, others just can't quit no matter what. I guess Vincent is one of those people. My mom finally quit, thanks to my hounding her. My dad refuses to quit because he doesn't believe it's hurting him. I make him mad at me because I won't let him smoke in my house. What do you mean by "staying like this"?

Hi NicoleMarie! It's just because I keep switching between TWoP and this board and a few other crappy boards. I consider registering with the french-speaking board as well. I'm also registered with a German board but it's basically nerds there. "staying like this"... O my, my English is really rotten when I'm drunk. I meant: staying a non-smoker, perserverance in this "state of grace", you know. I've never been a heavy smoker (although some people will tell you something different, just read my post about the time of my life ;-) so I don't think I got hooked up on nicotine. But when I'm not smoking, I just don't know what to do with my hands -- and my mouth. Sometimes I put two fingers and my lower lip, place the fingertips on two of the lower incisors and press against them. Don't know if you could make me quit, the way you hounded your mother into quitting. I think it's futile as long as I don't want to. As far as Vincent is concerned, I don't know his smoking habits (if he has any), but if he smokes, it's maybe the same situation. What a doctor says is one thing. What a daughter says, too, although I would rather "obey" a beloved relative than a M.D. If he doesn't really want to quit he'll never be succesfull in his attempts.

Hi Rosemary. I lurk on many boards but don't always have the time or energy to post. What is Twop?? I think stopping smoking is mental thing. I think a lot of people smoke out of rebellion and fight when people tell them to stop because they don't like being bossed around. I will hound anyone I know that is a smoker, LOL, not to be bossy but because I want them healthy. I think alot of people are denial that smoking hurts them, like my dad. I think people have different reasons for smoking. I've never tried and never wanted to. I have hounded three people into stopping smoking, my mother and my husband, and my sister. I'm still working on my dad. ;D

No quitting smoking is not as easy as you thing. Your body becomes phsically addicted. I have heard its easier to give up herion then it is smoking. There was a time that I used to chew the nicorette gum and smoke...what a buzz I got from that. I have been smoke free for 10 years now. I used to smoke close to 2-1/2 packs a day. No, its not a mental thing, giving up cigerettes.....its very painful.......I tried many, many different ways.......I finally got the patch....put it aside...waited until I got Broncithis....which I got every year....and that is when I quit....I used the patched....and prayed every day....and put an "X" on the calendar for each smoke free day.....and by the grace of God....I overcame my addiction with his help.... and when I am stressed to the max today, 10 years later.....I still yearn for a smoke...Big Time

Hi Rosemary. I lurk on many boards but don't always have the time or energy to post. What is Twop?? EEEEE! TWoP! Oh the memories! I got banned from there you know! LOL Its a web site called Television Without Pity. Its has a zillion zany rules that you can't possibly read in this lifetime so its easy to get banned without knowing why. But its worth going because there are some great reviews on a bunch of TV shows. Everyone is snarky, witty and sometimes downright cruel hence the name. They had a forum on SVU but its on permanent hiatus and I've never seen a forum for CI over there so I haven't bothered with them. Its OK though. I've been banned.

I believe it's a physical struggle but more of a mental struggle. I believe it's harder to stop smoking than to give up any other drug out there.

There is a CI board on TWoP: forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showforum=763 It's true, they've got a bunch of rules over there, but they haven't banned me yet. I am easy recognizable because of my unusual English and frequent references to either German or Polish culture.

So I'm the only one who was thoroughly unimpressed with the pictures? I just don't think it was very flattering on Erbe and Vance--I pray that those were not leather pants on Jonesy. And to my mind stockings that show below your skirt hem are just tacky. Dear God.
Still, it sounds like they had a nice time, and the milestone is reassuring. Balcer's comment about "Deserate Housewives" as a tsunami made me grimace.

But it was a true statement, they came on fast and furious, but they are starting to lose alot of strength and with any luck they will fade out and the ratings for CI will come back.
