But the Goren family--it sounds very much like the bets were on Frank. Patcat In Untethered (the fight scene between the brothers) Frank made a remark about him being the one. I got the impression he was still clinging to that childhood expectation and annointment as a source of accomplishment. He certainly didn't have any in his adult life. Perhaps Frank excelled in school and was the "responsible" child, a parent's pride and joy while Bobby was the misfit trouble with authority kid.

It always has seemed that Frank, not Bobby was the chosen child. Mom to chose Frank over Bobby all the time, yet in the end she found out who was the responsible child.
These two brothers were broken people and the drugs made one become paranoid. I think that is why Bobby said "I know about brothers". Good line. The look on his face said everything.

What was so disheartening about the situation is that no matter how responsible and devoted Bobby was to his mother she never missed an opportunity to slight him. He was shoved to the back seat so that Frank could have the front one. A life of doting on Frank had to go down hard for the other brother. Maybe his uncertain parentage was a factor.

He's an evil man. But does Spencer have a right to be angry?A right? No, Do I understand, well so, so, You probably see this in every family, but some of us are lucky to have more than one person to lean on, You have someone ill, you have brothers and sisters or other relatives to help take care of them, Spencer had his family, I think he knew something was wrong with his brother, but like Goren said, he didn't want to know then he would have to do something, he was all his brother had, and he didn't have anyone else to push him off on to help him. Some people are strong enough to handle this, Like Bobby with his mom, Frank couldn't handle it, so it all fell on Bobby. And Brent is clearly mentally ill. But is he getting off too easy? From what I understand, didn't he get sentenced to a mental health facility? I am sure he will be there for a long time, Just like Bobby's mom was at Carmel Ridge for a long time. And what about Brent's parents?Aren't they dead? Maybe Brent didn't show signs of his illness until they were gone. What should Spencer have done for his brother? He could have put him in a facility himself got him medical help. But then he would have had to face his own demons of what he did to his brother, maybe that was too much for him. Are the victims (of both Spencer and Brent) lost in this episode?Yes, you don't get to really learn anything about them. Carver appears to easily agree to Goren's assessment of the Anderson brothers and to the detective's plan. Is this atypical for the ADA?Carver usually doesn't go along with Goren. Is it just me, or does Deakins seem to be a Marilyn Monroe fan?Usually men his age are. Any comments on the episode's title, GEMINI?Well Gemini twins, they aren't twins, but were stuck together through obligation, the brother had to bring him his money once a month, I looked up Gemini through Greek Mythology since it is my sign, if anyone is interested. GeminiWe learn about the presence of Goren's brother in this episode. Goren is clearly angry about Spencer's treatment of Brent. But now that Goren has walked away from Frank, has he become like Spencer? No, I think from what we have learned Bobby has probably given Frank many chances. If you notice, Frank had Bobby's card in his wallet. Also Brent and Frank's problems are different, Brent couldn't help himself, Frank needs to want to help himself. I think if Frank called to ask for help into a rehab, Bobby would help.
