From what I hear, this episode is loosely based on that terrible story about the McDonald's employee that was forced to strip naked & was kept against her will (and beaten?) by her Manager & his girlfriend (or vice versa)
I though we had discussed that story here on site a few months back, but I can't find it. Am I right about that?

If it is the story I am remembering the young woman employee was accused of stealing, stripped naked, made to do jumping jacks and spanked. This was at the insistance of the woman manager. She even brought her boyfriend into this mess and he made the young employee perform oral sex on him. I think there was another employee who came into the office and saw the young woman being abused. This torture went on for hours. I don't know what the outcome was but does she have one hell of a court case!

I don't remember ever discussing this on this board, Donnajo. I googled the stuff below: "Ex-McDonald's Employee, Strip-Searched in Back Office, Wins $6.1 Million Lawsuit
A Kentucky jury has awarded $6.1 million to Louise Ogborn, a former McDonald’s employee who sued the company [after she was] humiliated... "As for the criminals; the manager's boyfriend got five years. He and the manager said they it was as if the person on the phone had taken control over their minds. The loser who orchestrated the whole thing was acquitted by a jury - no direct evidence to prove he made the phone calls. Yes, that's plural. he did this in several states to many victims before he was caught. He deliberately targeted fast-food chains because they are so procedure-oriented. Once the situation falls outside of what's in the manual, the employees can't really function or respond outside the box. Scary thing is it makes me wonder what message this has for people used to life in the armed forces? abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=3688563
