Ahhhh--finally, a potential source for that embarrassing "filet mignon" exchange between Eames and Larry or whatever his name was. 48 Hours is airing an account of the Page Birgfeld murder, but I'm taking it from the Dateline episode that aired back in July (at least, I think this is the transcript): ""Tired of chopped meat showing up when you ordered filet mignon?" she wrote. "Affluent clients are lavishing in delightful sessions." Potentially this is a far-fetched connection, and even more potentially, these shows are a guilty pleasure of mine. But I continue to be amazed between all the tie-over between CI and Dateline in particular. Somewhere in my posts you'll find references to the Dateline shows on the cases that parallelled the Mark Ford Brady and Bedfellows storylines (tjara--forgot to mention the latter when you revived the thread). Speaking for myself, I've been waiting a long time to find out where this one might have come from. It still makes me grimace

A great find, deathroe. I bet you are right about the writers consciously or subconsciously remembering that line while surfing the net for potential LOCI story fodder. It's a description that would stay with you.
I've never heard of this missing woman with the double life. That in itself would make a good LOCI plot.

Thanks --I watch WAY too much Dateline, but the writers must get their inspiration from somewhere. I'd never heard of this case either. Wasn't paying a lot of attention, but perhaps it was one of those things where they kept it quiet until they found the prostitution angle. God, it's unsafe to be a woman or a child :/
