"Let's take a walk" wasn't just a plea from a friend/partner - it was also an order by a superior officer (Eames). That is why Goren's silently following Eames out of the morgue. That, and he knew that he had crossed the line. Better to deal with Eames than with Ross at that moment.
Eames was 100% on Goren's side the entire episode. She never faltered. Like Patcat, I wonder what transpired between "Purgatory" & "Frame" to heal their relationship? Something big that we didn't witness.

I think she was being more of a friend than a superior officer in the morgue. She knew he had to get out of there before it got worse. And the dub sounded a lot like that, too. It was just the opposite from TWAH, where her tone was not understanding but somewhere between scolding, aggressive and curious. I was actually surprised that she didn't touch him. I had really expected her to touch him, to kinda "lead" him out. Just a short little "tug", really.

That line between partner & superior officer is oftentimes blurred, but it still exists. I know this because I have the same relationship with my boss. Here we see Eames, witnessing her partner go apeshit - not only in front of their Captain, but with his lady love, Rodgers. Ross ordered Eames to keep an eye on Goren when he first became Captain. That is still her job. Wasn't Ross angry at her for letting him go to Tate's?
There is a chain of command, and Eames is senior partner to Goren. No matter how much they try to be equals, when Eames tells Bobby to do something, he won't defy her. He did what she said, but when they were outside, he reverted back to the equal status with his sarcastic "Good Detective." When Alex told Bobby about the life insurance, I felt that it was again a friend helping another friend.

Personally, I think that she was being both, more so Senior Partner in my mind, because, as Donna said, he crossed the line. I am not saying his anger at Rogers wasn't justified, because it was. He trusted her with something so personal. However, he should have found a better way to deal with it then what he did. And I love the look Eames gives him when they're outside by the pillars, it just breaks my heart, because she is trying so hard to be there for him and make sure that he's cleared. It hurts her to have to investigate him because she feels she's betraying him and I could see why she feels that way. While they are friends, they're not lovers and she feels awkward about knowing such personal details as his finances and such. I also agree with Patcat, what was it that happened between Purgatory and Frame that made Eames soften up? My theory is that she's trying to ease off because of the predicament he found himself in. She's all he had now.

I don't know if this was said about the autopsy scene when Goren had his temper tantrum, but wasn't that the worst fake body ever? That dummy looked like Annie the dummy we used to practice the Heimlich Maneuver on.

First off I have to say to DonnaJo I loved your "apeshit" comment! I hadn't heard that expression in a long time. I think Eames supportive behavior stems from a few things. First off no matter how angry you are with someone, when that person has a tragedy those feelings get set on the back burner. Second, Eames states in the Wee Small Hours that Goren is one of the most ethical people she has worked with, so she doesn't for one split second think that Bobby murdered his brother, no matter how angry she is with him. And third, I think as angry as she was with Goren in Purgatory, I also think she might have felt a little (and I do mean little) guilty for thinking he was a dirty cop and she was not going to make that mistake again. I also think she was being more of a friend than a superior officer with that "lets take a walk" comment. I think Goren does respect her but not because she is his senior partner. He was more concerned that she thought he was capable of murder than Ross. When he confronts Eames and Ross in Ross's office after he realizes that someone has been investigating him he looks right at Eames and asks if she thinks he is capable of murdering his brother. I think he wasn't happy with her response and that is reflected in his sarcastic "detective" comment during their walk. I think it was only with her information about the insurance policy and her statement that he was being gaslighted that he realized she was on his side. I sure do hope that all the anger she has towards Goren is gone and that they are back to being trusting partners again in the upcoming season. P.S. by the way I do agree with you RaginCajun that the body in the morgue was one of the worst fake bodies I have ever seen.

Why not? Rodgers deserved it in that moment.

That dummy looked like Annie the dummy we used to practice the Heimlich Maneuver on. Ahahaha!! That's too funny! I agree. I think Eames didn't ever think Goren could have killed his brother. She knows him too well. I also agree that the emotions she might have been feeling in purgatory were pushed to the back burner due to the things going on in the forefront.
