Do you mean Vincent the actor or Goren the character?
I don't know how many languages Vincent speaks, but frequently actors are given foreign language dialogue phoenetically if they don't speak the language. So the number of languages Goren speaks may not necessarily correspond to how many (and/or which) languages Vincent speaks...

I heard this question asked on another forum, so I'll give the same answer I gave there:
Disclaimer: I don't know the answer to this question, but I have some speculations.
My guess would be that at the very least he (that is, Vincent D'Onofrio, not Bobby Goren) speaks some Italian and some Spanish.
He probably knows some Italian from his own family's background and that of Greta Scacchi. On the last interview of "The View" he mentioned that his daughter speaks fluent Italian, and I gather from how he sounded that he was in awe of her. So perhaps his knowledge of Italian is more rudimentary, as is often the case of Italian-Americans in the US (my case as well).
In one of the published interviews with his father Gennaro (Gene) D'Onofrio, Mr. D'Onofrio said that when Vincent was growing up in Florida, he used to hang out with some Cuban magicians who taught him magic tricks. Growing up in Florida (Hialeah, I believe) and having Cuban friends makes me suspect that he speaks some Spanish. He also shot "Naked Tango" in Argentina in 1989, and probably had interaction with the cast and crew during the 3-4 month shoot.
As for any other languages, I don't know. He may have had to study some other languages for other acting roles.

Thanks for that, i guess I should have clarified who! I know the View Interview, Leila would have learnt that from Greta being the up- brinng parent. I know he took Spanish dancing lessons for 1 year, to make the film, which I might add he danced very well. I have had big problems with my computer and lost the Info I had that listed him speaking, 6 languages, and again Im not sure If It was to do with Bobby Goren as I cant remember. Thats why I said of the 2 eps In CI, anyway I remember 4 of the 6 listed they were, German French (Its on IMDB) that he speaks fluent French. Polish Russian Funny enough I dont remember seeing Italian, so maybe It was just something to do with Bobby Goren. Ill just keep looking through the Info on the sites around I might come across It again. Thanks for answering to me Katie

Goren also spoke Chinese.
You still were not totally clear on your question; also being placed under a D'Onofrio thread made me think you were asking about the actor and not the character.
I think the answers have been given, but if you are are asking about the charater, I think it would have been more clear to go under the General CI Discussion thread.
I don't recall any Italian referece in CI; perhaps you are remembering something from the actor & his interviews.
I agree with Dom, he probably can do as good as a well prepared tourist on his Italian & I would bet his daughter likes to talk to him in Italian in public with him as an intimate way to stay private; I know I would have gotten a kick out of talking in public & not having the surrounding people understand me. Like Dom - all the above has been purely speculation.

Goren also speaks Korean...that was mentioned in the show with the card players. (I'm sorry I don't know show names.) My sister-in-law is Korean, so that one stands out to me!
I sincerly doubt Vincent is fluent in French. I read his bio on imdb.com a long time ago, and that was not there. It was added about a month ago. If he spoke French, wouldn't that fact be known years ago? Ok, small thinking but still....it seems odd.
I think Vincent is more fluent in Italian than he lets on...he lived in Italy for about 6 months in his 20's. ( I think.) How could he do that and not be somewhat fluent?

thanks for everybody helping, Im not sure about his "fluent french" I just mentioned It because like you It was added to his bio. It doesnt mean he doesnt, maybe something that has just come about because somebody ask him In an Interview or through some data that was found and updated, and has now been added to the bio. He did speak It very well In an ep of CI, which makes me think It might be possible. Vincent Is a very Interesting man and Im sure he would take the time to learn anything. As far as his Italian goes, the only mention was about "Leila" how she spoke It fluently, but that Is from her mother "Greta" who has raised her as a single mum, and from her own Italian back ground '. He did sound very proud of his daughter for learning to speak Italian. It would be Interesting to find out about what languages he "Vincent" does speak and how fluent he Is. I guess that will only be found out If an Interviewer bothers to ask. Katie

You're right. Goren's "German" was awful. I didn't understand all of it, too - and I AM German. Even that art person's German was terrible, though he had a thick accent when he spoke English. Hehe, in the German version they made a Frenchman out of him and Goren spoke French! I nearly fainted when I first saw that episode (Art) in the original language. Here they dubb everything and sometimes that worsens the actors. It's a shame!
