arleneb,
I was able to find "The Whole Wide World" last month at Blockbuster Video. I've also seen it on Ebay. I'm not sure about "Thumbsucker" I doubt you'll find it on DVD, it was just recently released in the theaters. Not anywhere near me though!

By the way, it's a New Year tradition in my country to show Men in Black on New Years Eve... Coooool.

So true, leanne. The two main things I deal with every day are damage and disease because of smoking and obesity. It's heartbreaking.

My mother smokes, my father is fat...tell me about it.
I'm 120 lbs and I'm not an active smoker. I'm trying not to be a passive smoker too. I'm learning from my paternal examples.

Yeah, but it is an addiction as strong as heroin. I had my last ciggie on my way to the hospital with a collapsed lung, the only way I could keep from lighting up after being attached to the wall for nine days with a jar next to the bed full of the gunk draining from my lung was to remember them putting a chest tube tube in with just a local.

I have seen most all Vincents movies minus just a few and except for him as that nasty guy in "The Salton Sea" ( if I remeber correctly) , I think he looks good, I dont think he has ever been too heavy. With his height he looks better with some extra padding but thats my opinion, As long as his "ESP" is all good. "ESP" you might ask? E- Emotional, S-spirtual, P-physical...I give the man props for his amazing talent and wish him only the best.

I've seen on other boards that Goren/Vincent is getting dissed for having gray hair and/or being too "heavy". One of the best responses I seen was "He's 47, not 27"! And I agree with that. Most of us have "known" him since his youth (20's, 30's) and it seems some people are having a hard time accepting that he is aging and is wll into his middle age. He's not going to look 30 or 40 forever or have black hair forever. And many people seem to ignore that Vincent's weight yo-yo's all the time. He's not going to be toothpick all the time. Seems some people only like him when he's thin and youthful looking. Not trying to rant but I find disses against a 47 year old man's weight and gray hair as a bit peculilar. I mean, how many 47 year old men DON'T have gray hair? hehehe! Patcat made a very funny remark about Vincent's weight fluctuating more than a bear in hibernation season, I wish I could remember it!

Yeah I've seen the "talk" were some like him with shorter hair, some like it longer...some like him clean shaven, others a bit more scruffy is their thing...all in all if you ask me, looking back to Mystic Pizza and then jump to the present...the man was hot then and is hot now...If I can be so bold as to say I think he is getting only better with age. P.S I just love the caption above...
