Well, thank you, Metella. All those years of being forced to watch hockey and other sports related items have finally paid off! ;D

Nikki,
I have to agree with Metella at least once a year, and this is it! That Herb Brooks connection was impressive! And much more entertaining than the usual ones. You've inspired me to take the scenic route through some of my own interests... (I always liked Bart... his replacements don't have nearly his personality...)
Trevor Howard was in Windwalker with Bart the Bear, who was in Walking Thunder with John Denver, who was in John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together with Frank Oz, in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi he was, with David Prowse, who was in A Clockwork Orange, which was directed by Stanley Kubrick, who, in case anyone has forgotten... directed Full Metal Jacket
Raquel Welch

1. Raquel Welch is in "The Muppets Go Hollywood" with Frank Oz 2. Oz is the voice of Yoda in the "Star Wars" movies, with Ewan McGregor as young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy 3. McGregor is in "Moulin Rouge!" with Nicole Kidman 4. Kidman is in "The Human Stain" with Sir Anthony Hopkins 5. Hopkins is in "Silence of the Lambs" with Jodie Foster 6. Foster is in "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys" with Vincent D'Onofrio
I can't stop doing sports related connections, so next up... the Great One Wayne Gretzky

Well done, Techguy! So there are at least 2 ways to connect D’Onofrio with Raquel Welch... Mine started with a movie she did long ago with Robert Culp, called Hanny Caulder, linked through Culp’s guest appearance on The Dead Zone to Anthony Michael Hall, from there to David Ogden Stiers, who has a recurring character on The Dead Zone, and so to MASH (the series), which provides a link to Alan Alda, who appeared in the live debate on The West Wing with Jimmy Smits... who was in Fires Within. I can’t remember for sure whether Stiers appeared in the same episode of The Dead Zone as Culp; but even if he did, all I had to do to add the sixth step was back up one with Raquel Welch... she was in a movie called Mother, Jugs and Speed with Bill Cosby, who was in I Spy with Robert Culp, and it goes the same from there. I was thinking it might take another I Spy fan to get this one, but that’s only because I didn’t realize she was in a Muppet Movie!
I’m afraid that I can’t do a thing with your guy, though. It may really take another hockey fan to do the trick. I had to Google his name to even know what sport he plays! There’s no way I could connect him in with actors I’m familiar with without doing something Tricia would consider cheating! Good luck to everyone else!

Wayne Gretzky is married to Janet Brown Gretzky. Janet was in Staying Alive with John Travolta. Travolta was in Primary Colors with Kathy Bates. Bates was in Rat Race (should'a bought a squirrel! lol ;D ) with Cuba Gooding Jr. Cuba was in As Good as it gets with Greg Kinnear. Kinnear was in Nurse Betty with Rene Zellweger. Zellweger was in The Whole Wide World with VDO. Is that too many? Scratch Cuba to Kinnear, and go to Zellweger in Jerry Maguire. Hum.... who's next? How 'bout Richard Dean Anderson (for the Gater's )

Thank you for the correction, Duet. Janet Jones. I thought of a better connection than her last night, anyway, but it will have to wait for Techguy to throw out another NHL All Star BTW, my condolences to the Gretzky family. I hear Wayne's mother passed away just a few days ago. It's always so sad to hear about people losing loved ones near the holidays, because the holidays end up being an even stronger reminder of the loss.

Richard Dean Anderson starred in "Pandora's Clock" with Robert Guillaume, who played Rafiki in "The Lion King" with Jeremy Irons, who was in "The Man in The Iron Mask" starring Leonardo DiCaprio who also starred in "Gangs of New York" with John C. Reilly who was in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" starring Johnny Depp who was in "Ed Wood".
Next......RDA's replacement, Ben Browder.
I'd like to add my condolences to the Gretzky family, as well.

Ben *sigh* Browder guest starred on an episode of CSI: Miami with David Caruso. Caruso was in Proof of Life with Russell Crow. Crow was in Gladiator with Connie Nielson. Nielson was in Mission To Mars with Don Cheadle. Cheadle was in Oceans Eleven with Matt Damon. Damon did a voice spot on the CI ep "The Unblinking Eye" starring VDO. Does that last one count? If not, switch Damon with Julia Roberts, who was in Dying Young with VDO ummmmm .... Parker Posey

You can always use Mystic Pizza. Matt Damon was in it with Vincent D'Onofrio.

I don't use imdb for anything but putting a name with a face or to remember the correct movie title. Anything more is cheating. I absolutely cannot do this game without the assistance of imdb. I cannot play *any* of the six degrees games without assistance from imdb.

My condolences also to Wayne Gretzky and his family on the loss of his mother, Phyllis, from lung cancer. Gretzky is one of the classiest athletes in any sport, who I had the pleasure to meet several years ago at an NHL event. He personifies the word "gentleman" in every respect. My thoughts and prayers are with him.
As for Parker Posey: 1. Posey is in "Best in Show" with Christopher Guest 2. Guest is in "Spinal Tap" with Rob Reiner 3. Reiner is in "The First Wives Club" with Diane Keaton 4. Keaton is in several movies--one of which is "Annie Hall"--with Woody Allen 5. Allen is in "Crimes and Misdemeanors" with Martin Landau 6. Landau is in "Ed Wood" with Vincent D'Onofrio
And since Trisha asked for another NHL star... Jeremy Roenick

Jeremy Roenick appeared as himself couple of times in "Arli$$" which starred Michael Boatman who was in "Spin City" starring Michael J. Fox who is the voice of "Stuart Little" with his dad being played by Hugh Laurie who was Jasper in "101 Dalmations" with Glenn Close who is in "Le Divorce" with Matthew Modine who starred in "Full Metal Jacket" with VDO.
How about Super Mario next? Mario Lemieux.

Matt Damon was in MYSTIC PIZZA?
Are you sure you're not confusing him with Adam Storke or William Moses?
