Thank you for posting Caitlen. I shall read this interview to give me an insight into Vincent D'Onofrio as I really don't know much about this actor.

Ron Harris provides an excellent description of how it was to be involved in the day to day filming of a television series. Very interesting. Since his experiences are only for the first four years of the show, I imagine that some things about the show have changed. IMO, at times the insistence that there be realism in every scene has taken a back seat to melodrama. In addition, he specifically makes mention of how VDO no longer flirts with the beautiful young actresses, and that his attention is now solely for his lovely wife & family. I believe that. It just validates in my mind the notion that years ago VDO had an eye for the ladies. It could be no more than that, but it was there, according to Mr. Harris. And if he was only flirting, then there's nothing wrong with that.

Well a stand-in would explain the terrible looking hands holding that black notebook during a scene in "Mis-Labeled". Vincent's hands don't look anything like that in any other scene.

You are absolutely right, OBC! Also the hands that were holding Doris Roberts' hands in "Privilege" were NOT Vincent's. I'm sure of that. They weren't Ron's either, so they must be the new stand ins

I always wondered what the deal was with that interview scene in "Mis-Labeled". I knew there was someone else there, I just didn't know they had a regular "stand-in". I suppose that would be needed for times when they have to re-shoot something, or whatever, and the actor isn't on set.
And I thought the hands that held Doris Roberts' in "Privilege" looked odd. Not like VDO's at all.

Anyone here has a pic of that hand scene? I can't remember something unusual but that's probably because I don't ever see those little things...

I don't have a pic, but I can tell you where to find it if you have access to that episode. It's during the scene where Goren and Eames are interviewing the woman that Brian/Eric hooked up with at the gym, the one who left her watch at his place. They cut away to a shot of "Goren" standing near the sofa, holding his notebook. The hands give it away. The man standing there is not Vincent.

Thanks for posting this interview. I now have a good idea why Mr. D'Onofrio has so much trouble with keeping his weight down.

Wow! Great article! And it blows my mind to know that those scenes in "Blink" actually were filmed twelve stories up! YIKES!

I like knowing if you can't cut it with VDO, you probably can't cut without anyone else. I've thought that for a very long time and it was just affirmed by Ron Harris.
