This episode repeated last evening on NBC. I saw it when it premiered in May, but I enjoyed it better the second time.
In this episode, Connie Rubirosa is assigned to be the suspect's defense attorney, since Legal Aid is on strike. This episode is ripped from the true story of Rene Balcer's run in with a vehicle in LA during the writers strike. If I remember correctly, Rene was clipped by the vehicle, and could have been seriously hurt.
I enjoyed seeing Connie use her skills as an attorney. The show always portrays her as second chair to ADA Cutter. She is as talented in the courtroom as he is, maybe better in some respects. She certainly is more charming than the assertive Cutter.
