I'm surprised no one has mentioned this show. Or did I miss something?.... We're quite enjoying it. Of course I learned about micro frowns from Robert Goren (along with a lot of other things!) The premise... oh, shoot. The main character (I'll never forget what's his name).... Oh heck! You can read it here: www.fox.com/lietome/and here is a promo on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGxDhWJ5y4kThey just *love* to use US Presidents to make a point (ie. Clinton and Monica L.).... It's worth checking out. Ya, ya, with my luck the next one will be a dud..... Happy viewing!

I saw last night's episode. It was really very good. There were two ongoing plot lines, one involved a missing adopted teen, the other an author who wrote about her experiences being kidnapped by militants in Uganda. The agency is hired to see who is lying & who is telling the truth. Tim Roth is fantastic in the lead role. I remembered him as the horrible villain in the film "Rob Roy." He was despicable. And his partner is "Holly" (Logan's doomed girlfriend) from the LOCI episode "Renewal." She is also wonderful. Not so intriguing to watch are the two other team members. Put on the show for the youngsters. Check it out.

Tim Roth is great in this(isnt he always). i remember him from Rob Roy he was truely evil in that( but also great). his partner is also good. not so sure about the rest of the cast bit borring in comparison.

Rom, I also liked the episode about the mining accident. Excellent twists & turns. I missed this past week's episode to watch President Obama's 100 Days in Office speech. I was shocked that Fox chose to air "Lie To Me" instead of the President's speech. I know they had it on their news network.... but still....

my view the first few episodes were a bit so so and writting was a bit weak, but it seems that they may have got a new writer(maybe) beacuse the last few episodes have been quite good, particualy the mining episode lots of different twists and a very sad somewhat unexpected ending( i mean who thought they would get them out safely i did).

You are spot on there Rom, it is a show i could take or leave. Maybe there are new writers, there is a slight, and better element to the show, you are right there.

I thought the most recent episode about the serial killer was well written and had some great twists! Hope this gets a renewal...I'd like to see more. There's not much I watch on Fox since the X-files and Millenium(a special favorite of mine!) were on the network.
