Thanks for the promo link, caitlen.
It looks good, and it's great to see Jamey Sheridan in a series. I hope it makes it. I loved the series "Saved" which was the same premise, (copied, like this show, from the vintage show "Emergency.") Unfortunately, TNT yanked it after one season.

I like medical dramas, so I am looking forward to this one. I was an avid ER fan for years. It'll be nice to see Jamey Sheridan again.

Mike Vogel takes lead on 'Trauma' Role recast after pilot for CBS medical drama By Nellie Andreeva Aug 9, 2009, Mike Vogel has landed a lead role on CBS' new medical drama "Miami Trauma." "Trauma," from WBTV and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, is about a team of trauma surgeons in Miami. Vogel will play one of the doctors, a talented, charming and fiercely competitive surgeon with a healthy ego. The role, which was played in the pilot by Richard Coyle, has been recast. Vogel has been in high demand following his performance in ABC's "Romeo and Juliet"-esque drama pilot "Empire State" this past season in which he played the male lead. Vogel, who next appears in the feature "She's Out of My League," is repped by Gersh and manager Geordie Frey. www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i0cdf40bc01587c412e6351cd309722e2

My only concern is that Jerry Bruckheimer is the producer. His productions tend to be a lot of style with little substance. But they tend to be very popular.

Glad to see Jamey Sheridan again !!
Looking forward to seeing this. I have been a nurse and paramedic for over 30 years, so we'll see how this one does. It is always humorous to see how medical dramas are done. A friend of mine is a paramedic and fireman, he too finds these shows a bit much. So hope it is creative and mildly accurate.

NBC has been promoting the heck out of this series. With so few scripted dramas in their line up this fall, they really need for it to succeed. I do plan on tuning in myself.

"Trauma" By Sam McPherson
Premieres Monday, September 28 (9/8c) on NBC
Mercy isn't the only new medical drama that NBC is commissioning the 2009 fall season. It's also backing Trauma, a new series that they hope will replace the fifteen-year-old behemoth, ER, which ended last year.
But unlike its sister show, Trauma's primary action won't take place in the hospital. It revolves around a group of paramedics, and most of it will take place out in the field. So, in a way, it'll be more easily compared to Rescue Me than Mercy, simply due to fact that paramedics, like firefighters, are essential in the aftermaths of accidents and disasters.

ER had some good years. Hope this has a good run too.
As a former paramedic, I am looking forward to this one.

It's official--from TV By the Numbers: Trauma Canceled by NBC: no additional episodes will be ordered Posted on 28 October 2009 by Robert Seidman NBC has effectively canceled Trauma opting not to give it a full season pick-up. The current plan is that the original order of 13 episodes will complete production and air, but no additional episodes will be ordered. The move comes as no surprise, especially on the heels of a full season pick-up for Mercy...
