Hey,
Well, we get VOX, so like you, I got Mondays for Season 2 and Wednesdays for Season 7 - and the eps are in correct order. I'm actually glad they're showing older eps as I've only come to the show shortly before Christmas and so I get to see older eps, too. I can't wait for them to show Season 3, I haven't seen any of Seasons 3-5.
ORF used to carry LOCI on Mondays, then moved it to Wednesdays (together with the Premiere of Life and new eps of Cold Case and Without a Trace), that was the "new" Season 7 episodes. They also had it on at 2:00 a.m. on Thurdays (Season 2), quite often in a "double feature", but they quit after "A Person of Interest". They also taken it out of their programme on Wednesdays after airing Offense. I think VOX airing Season 7 eps in the same timeslot had something to do with it.
Like VOX, ORF airs it in 16:9, but saddly not undubbed, like they do with some other shows (Grey's, Scrubs, Private Practive...)

Oh good! I'm not the only one to be a few weeks late with the episode! So here are my thoughts on the episode! I found that there was a bit of randmness with the episode. We have become used to having the plotlines more attached to the central cast, especially Goren. I think this was more or less a deliberate "randomness", seeing as in previous episodes we were introduced to Goren's "niece" - I'm hoping there is more to come of that. It seems that Goren has become extremely detached. He used to to be able to get under the skin of the suspects, almost feel what they were feeling, and that's how he could get to them. Lately, it's been nothing. No emotion. Just like he was when he was staring at George in the interrogation room. I too cracked up with that one!). In fact, the only time he appeared to show any emotion in this episode was at the end, with his last line - he couldn't even be original for his own daughter... I especially liked the line regarding the Illyad! - Ι read the Illyad in the original Attic Greek detective, if you wanna trip me up you'll have to be more subtle than that... -Actually, it's Homeric Greek, but… LMAO!!! I couldn't see why having read the Illyad implies that you are not easily tripped-up, but the reference may well have been an analogy, as tjara so eloquently pointed out!!!! And what about the aunt saying "do you have any idea what it's like to have everything taken away?". I immediately thought of Goren when she said that. As for the Happy Christmas quote, I was in the UK for 3 years, I'm pretty sure most people nowadays there say Merry Christmas, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention... Double Folie a Deux! That really does describe the episode best! Wonderful acting from everyone involved in the episode. So nice to see Eames with more of role to play, and not just standing there making quirky/sarcastic comments (having said that, we all love Eames' comments!!! ) I'm not sure whether the relationship between Eames and Goren is OK. She did feel betrayed by him towards the end of the last season. In a previous episode he showed her a picture of his "niece", and she made no comment. Either she didn't care to find out more about it, she knew better than to force Bobby into saying more, or she knew enough already (the last implies that Eames and Goren are indeed the best of partners again). I truly don't know, and I would really like for the writing team to clarify that, if possible. I'm really looking forward to the next Goren/Eames episode!

We learned Oxford English in school and I'm 100% positive that we learned to say "Merry Christmas". The first time I heard "Happy Christmas" was an option was when I stayed in the US for 10 months.

This is the second Saturday that my local NBC affiliate has run a paid program instead of Law and Order Criminal Intent! I actually called the station to complain but the poor guy answering the phones claimed to know nothing about how those decisions are made. He gave me an Email address to send a formal complaint in.

Idget, do you mean Channel 2? Was it a hurricane preparedness special?

It was "Feed the Children". Another reason not to have them, they have so many f*****g needs! You will probably have to complain through NBC.com.

Idget, do you mean Channel 2? Was it a hurricane preparedness special? Yes it was channel 2, but here in Charleston it was a paid program for some skin care program being hawked by Jane Seymour. A couple weeks ago it was some product Montell Williams was selling. I could halfway understand a hurricane preparedness program but skin care? I sent an email complaining about it have had no response yet, but it is only Sunday.

When I lived in Myrtle, I could get NBC on Channel 2 and on Channel 6 (out of Wilmington, NC), and I remember that Channel 2 used to do those local hurricane specials. I never saw an infomercial though. Geez! How dumb is that?!
