I watched this one on Sci-Fi last night. I liked it the first time I saw it, but this time I enjoyed it in a different way, paying more attention to KE. She was great. I really believed her as a "typical rock-and-roll-working-class gal". The walk, the clothes, even the accent, were subtle, right, and not overdone. The black hair suited her role, she was softer, not as outwardly tough as Alex, and it was not hard for me to put Alex aside while watching the movie. Good story. One I should buy.

Hey Everyone, To the personwho was writingabout "What About Bob?" on Page 1. Yes! Kathryn was exactly 24 atthetime of that movie. But her character Anna was only 17. Very Convincing...Loved every moment. AS for the subject at hand (Stir of Echoes)...Kathryn was doing the show OZ at the same time of the movie...So she kept her Southern Belle Voice from "OZ", and put it all into playing Maggie in S.O.E. My fave line in S.O.E. was when she told Kevin Bacon's caharacter after he says the sex was weird...She tells him "Baby that wasn't weird...I can show you weird". I cracked up cause I believed that line so much. Plus, I kind of would picture Alex saying that to Bobby on CI...hehe. Well ciao for now...and Please write back, Sincerely, Rachael

I reccomend the DVD because it has extras! It seems not many DVD had extras back in 1999 or before.

I finally got to see What About Bob? Like someone recommended to me and it's absolutely brilliant! I loved it, I'm so glad I found it really cheap in the January sales. Fantastic. Wendy Hugs

I only watched this because of KE. Other than that the movie didn't do very much for me I'm not really into the scary movie genre. Had a good mystery and atmosphere, but overall it was okay.

USA is playing this a couple of times late in the day this week (W/TH?) when it is not playing insane amounts of LOCI marathon. It's raining Erbe and D'Onofrio (and about darn time, too)!

girlinblack's Katie News Blog says some of the extras have been put up online. Are they from the R1 dvd, or is there a special edition out? 'Cos my R4 disc only has the Director's Commentary and Making-of feature as bonuses

USA and the Sci Fi channel have this movie scheduled this month:
USA Fri, Jan 18, 11:30 AM SCI FI Thu, Jan 31, 11:00 PM
Plot Outline from the IMDb page: After being hypnotized by his sister-in-law, a man begins seeing haunting visions of a girl's ghost and a mystery begins to unfold around her. This movie stars Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Erbe as married couple Tom and Maggie Witzky.
Trivia note from IMDb: Kathryn Erbe's tattoo on her back reads "T + M" (standing for her husband Terry and her daughter Mave) and features a heart around the letters. This inspired the exact same tattoo placed on the inside of Kevin Bacon's forearm, which stands for the two actors characters, Tom and Maggie.
Here is the TV Guide review for reference.

I own this movie. I really do like it. It is not really the scariest thing, but I like the way KE portrayed Maggie. And the color of her hair in that movie is actually her natural color (I'm pretty sure in any case...) She did a good job in this, not too overdone. She also does a good job in Speaking of Sex, which also stars Bill Murray. I loved them both in What About Bob?. That movie cracks me up every time I watch it.
