Mimi, he may be at peace with it, but I think he would still appreciate the outpouring of support for him and Kathryn. And if our effort succeeds, he can always decline the offer from USA if he wants.

Dear NBCUNI, I’m writing to you in response of your networks decision to let Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe go. As a fan of both actors I just wanted to take a moment to tell you what a mistake it will be for your network to lose them. Criminal Intent it is one of the few truly interesting shows left on the air. And the reasons the show is interesting is thanks to Mr. D’Onofrio and Ms. Erbe. Finally, a television show came along and delivered what many in my opinion cannot; true quality television! I’m tired of the flashy dramas that don’t deliver. Law & Order: Criminal Intent is the best show on television and it’s because of talents of Mr. D’Onfrio and Ms. Erbe. I know networks have to think of bottom lines, but what about all the fans? Many of us fans will stop watching if our favorite characters leave. What I hope you will consider is giving us fans a full season 9 with Mr. D’Onofrio and Ms. Erbe and then end their storylines along with the show.
This is what I sent to Bonnie Hammer, Jean Guerin, Jeff Gaspin, and Andrea Epstein. If anyone comes across addtional email addressses let me know and I will email them as well.

Because he said it this past summer. Also, I do think he's brave enough to just leave if he doesn't want to be in the show anymore. And I really doubt he would opt for guest stints if he didn't want to play Bobby Goren anymore.
If he really doesn't want to stay, USA will not be able to make him stay.

If it is Mr. D'Onofrio and Ms. Erbe's wish to leave the show--and I can understand that after eight years of playing the same part they might want to do that--I wish them the very best and thank them for what they've done. But if this is just penny pinching, money grubbing on the part of executives, well, then I'm peeved.

I was sad when I recieved an email with the announcement, but not as heartbroken as I would have been 3 yrs ago. Maybe its for the best the show hasn't been what it used to be, seems we have been waiting for it to improve and it hasn't been. But without Vincent and Kate, I won't be watching.
But OT, On the Original Lupo Crosses the line and the bedroom!

That is divine, QFC. What a superb choice of screen cap you've made Sadly, that's the Goren I want back, but he left so, so, so long ago. I used that because I had that screen cap handy. I have done another postcard - same page, but you have to scroll down. www.quietfiredesign.com/LOCI/CriminalIntentPostcard.htmAgain, I have all the video, but not a lot of time to hunt screen caps.... This was handy, from Season 7 and I like it!

Now, imo the Number Two Postcard - wonderfully crafted as it is, and salaams to you. you creative thing - is the Goren I wouldn't pay the price of a postage stamp to resurrect.
If Goren Mark II (post Season 4) is to be invoked in this campaign, I think you couldn't go past your own excellent avatar, QFC. (That caption is soooo apt for the purpose at hand, too ;D)

Those who don't think it's worth the effort won't participate anyway. The rest: We want Goren and Eames. Period.

Tjara, my remark to QFC was not a discussion of the show, but an ongoing discussion of her excellent postcard art. Period.
Actually, not period. I don't see a sign here saying "Passionate Campaigners Only".

Well, being the pessimist that I am I don't believe it will help but I sent out my letters today. It all boils down to money and I don't see the tight fisted, uncaring about anything but their own bottom line executives caring about what true fans of the show feel.

Ya, maybe. But don't you think they're going to hear about the fuss and it will warm their hearts?
And maybe rattle some cages surrounding TPTB...
If we don't try, we'll never know.
I'm thinking about another round of emails tomorrow. Maybe from a different email account. mwaahaha......

Thanks for posting that, Tjara. Of course, we've always heard little from Ms. Erbe, who seems to prefer to let her work speak for itself.
