I may have to get the ASP bat out and use it on myself, but...
It seems NBC is about to give up on the Jay Leno experiment, which will open up five hours of primetime. Anyone want to be that those holes will be plugged up by all of the L&O programs?

I agree, Patcat. I'm positive that the mothership will move back to its 10:00pm timeslot, either on its current Friday or another evening. Same with SVU. I also can see both shows filming 22 or 23 episodes again, instead of 16. NBC is going to have to plug in a lot of holes. Of course LOCI will plug in a 10:00 pm slot, or shift position with a show that now runs at 9:00pm. I wonder if NBC now regrets dumping "Southland?"

I wonder if anyone at NBC is self aware enough to regret anything.
Gosh, I'm in a prickly mood. It's the bad weather, I think.

I'm with you, Patcat. I suppose I am prickly, too.

I wonder if anyone at NBC is self aware enough to regret anything. Lol! That and they all seem to have very short-term memories. At least they weren't stupid enough to let L&O go, too. Joining the prickly parade ... Did anyone here actually watch Leno's show? I know I didn't. Not even a single episode. I have cable, a dvr and kindle for itouch. I never got that desperate for entertainment I will be happy to have L&O back on Weds at 10, though. Hurry up, NBC, 'cause I just got a Wii for Christmas and Fridays aren't going to work for me anymore

I didn't watch Leno's show either. You're not the only one.

Why do I not feel sorry for the idiots at NBC for creating yet another debacle to spin doctor? What gets me even more riled up is the fact that the bonehead executives who make these decisions are still employed and drawing huge paychecks, and probably bonuses as well. They will probably have to rely on CI reruns to fill some of the vacant primetime slots in their schedule, which is another thorn in my aching side.

I feel for Conan O'Brien, who I find a very funny guy and far more original than Leno. He's being treated very shabbily, and I hope he dumps NBC and takes some post that will make them pay.

I'm giving some serious thought to applying for a job at NBC Universal. Why not, I'll have a corner office and make millions. Forget hard work, I won't have to excel at my job to get a promotion. And forget the consumers and their favorite shows--I'll play around with time slots, and budgets. I won't have to care about anything unless it suits me. Yah! thats the ticket! ...lol
Joining the prickly parade!!!

I'd like to think that scripted shows will fill the void, but why do I think we are in for reality programming and "Primetime Live" sort of junk?
Frankly, I think all of the late night guys are tiresome. Give me "Chelsea Lately" any day.

And, I heard today that NBC expects to lose money on their Olympic coverage due to lack of advertiser interest, projecting a $70MM shortfall on a $1.2B bid.

Plus, I hear that Vancouver's weather has been balmy lately. Rain and high 40s-50s. Should be doing wonders for those skiing venues/bobsled runs. Orlando is more suited to the winter games at this point.

Vancouver's weather has been been balmy, but the skiing venues are in the mountains. Whistler's had twice the anticipated snowfall and there is more falling. Letterman's free advice..."Tina Fey is having a hard time making fictional network executives dumber than the real ones,"... ;D

Perhaps Sarah Palin could help. She's pretty good with snow jobs.

From TV Squad -- Conan says no to 12:05 Tonight Show. Can NBC's prime time and late night lineup be in more disarray? They get no sympathy from me.
Meanwhile, Dick Wolf and LOLA could come to the rescue:...the network wants a Los Angeles-based Law & Order from Dick Wolf to add to the franchise. They're calling the new show LOLA...
