Thanks for the poll, Techguy. Boy, you are quick!
I gave it a solid B. Mostly I liked it, but there were parts that were poorly written. And I'm not happy that Goren was fired and Eames resigned. Not happy at all. They could have ended things on a higher note.

I don't know what to say. This is one of the worst episodes I have ever seen. There were so many plot problems, lines not in character, inconsistencies, etc. IMO the writing was terrible. I can't even watch it again. They had too much to do in this episode -- finish up a very complicated plot, introduce SS, give a lot of screen time to ZN as he is taking over next week and say goodbye to G&E. So none of it was done well. I was surprised by the number of people who liked the episode. Goren was suspended and fired for yelling at a suspect? Eames had to fire him? Very unsatisfying end to these characters and does not do them any justice. at all. On the basis of this episode the network said last year that Goren could come back and make guest appearances? Hardly anything good to write about. I couldn't bring myself to give it an F, so I gave it a D. Let's hope the writing improves dramatically or this show is in real trouble.

I was thinking the same exact thing, WF. How realistically could Goren come back for a guest appearance? Based on this ending, is doesn't seem possible. No Eames or Ross at One PP to come back to. Not to mention that most people who are fired from their job don't just pop in and say Hi.
Unless he comes back as an FBI agent, and we are given a definitive answer about what happens to him and his career in law enforcement. The thought that he has no job, no pension, no nothing after all of these years of dedication and service just depresses me so much.

I'd like to give it a C- for the plot, a B for the story relating to the characters, and an A for the performances. Not the worst LOCI by a long shot, but not the farewell that Goren and Eames, Mr. D'Onofrio and Ms. Erbe deserved.

I gave it a "C" and I was being kind. I hated the episode and feel it was the worst CI episode(s) I have ever seen. Our actors deserved better material to work with and as a veiwer we deserved a better G&E finale. The topic of terrorism was interesting/ just not well executed. And I found Eames "firing" Bobby ridiculous!

Here it goes. My first post. I also gave it a ' C '. I have wached it 5 times and just doesn't do it for me, plot, characters, ending. I'm beginning to think it was all just a plot to make us fans intriged, confused, upset, worried, suprised, with eyes red from crying... in general very very agitated. I also found Eames firing Goren ridiculous. Come on..over harassing a suspect !! I do not care if it is juristiction conflict with FBI. There always were battles like that and nobody got fired or resigned. Still there is a thought back in my mind it is just a plan to make Bobby back as avenger from the dark to sweep clean NYPD from dirty cops. (Yeap-I'm being paranoid, I do think Chief wants Bobby dead ;D )

Excellent ideas, lola. I agree that it was ludicrous to have Eames fire Bobby. Why? As a test to see if she could cut it as the Chief Of Detectives? If they were that unsure of her abilities, than why give her the promotion? And she hadn't even taken the Captain's test. Such a ridiculous plot point.

Considering all the negativity, 53.2 % gave the episode a "B" ? JG fans anyone? ;D I’m not that crazy about Jeff Goldblum, however, I don’t dislike him as an actor. I find him to be a little bland, particularly in this role on LOCI having to follow Chris Noth’s Logan. I thought his efforts to help Goren and Eames clear Ross were commendable. It showed that he could be a team player even when he supposedly didn’t know he was going to be the sole holdover detective in the Major Case squad. It was certainly not the kind of goodbye I wanted to see for my favorite TV pair. I gave it a B.

I'm sorry for being so negative in my first episode poll post, but I give it a "D". The only saving grace that keeps it from an "F" is the hug and kiss in the end. I don't think the acting was bad, in fact they did the best they could with the script they were given. I don't have anything new to add that isn't already expressed in this thread. This is the ONLY episode I would rate lower than a "C".

He always struck me as a tall, skinny Peter Faulk-I could see him shifting that eye back and forth.
