"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star Kathryn Erbe broke down on the witness stand today when prosecutors displayed a doctored photo of her 14-year-old daughter that her accused stalker allegedly put online.
"This is a seventh-grade graduation photograph of my daughter," Erbe said, who was sobbing at one point during his testimony.
Erbe said it was when Charles Nagel allegedly posted the photo on Facebook that she went to authorities.
"I’m not going to let his go on anymore," she said in Brooklyn federal court. "This is my daughter who is innocent and relatively defenseless."
The photo featured a hand drawn cockroach and a dialog bubble with the words "I'm ugly."
During more than an hour of testimony Erbe also discussed meeting Nagel at a "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" set location in 2008.
"I was extremely uncomfortable," she said. "He stared at me openly."
She said she got a “very bad feeling” that wasn't diminished as she later left the set.
"I looked over and the defendant was running along the car on the sidewalk and waving and I said [to the driver], This is trouble.'"
The Philadelphia man has pleaded not guilty to interstate stalking. The defense says Nagel merely went to a public place seeking autographs and photos.
The actress has starred for nine seasons as Detective Alexandra Eames on the crime series.

there are several other articles that I've posted in various places online (my ke board) and livejournal, but this is the one that really struck me the most. I feel sorry for her family and for her as well. This had to have been a horrible, horrible ordeal. I hope that justice is quick and swift and that he's locked away. And that he gets help. and that his family gets help. I feel for his two young daughters as well. They probably have no idea what is going on.
