This is one of my favorite episodes of that season. It showed emotion without angst for both Goren and Eames. My take is that Goren sorta liked Leslie in the beginning. She came across as helpful and the only one willing to assist the Detectives in their case. When Goren met Leslie in the restaurant for dinner, and asked her why she slipped him her card, I felt as if a part of him was hoping that it was because she liked him and it wasn't just related to the case. Also, when he realized that she was just playing him on the ferry (wearing her power color red to get what she wanted), he seemed disappointed, even a wee bit hurt in his expression. VDO does an excellent job showing us glimpses of Goren's vulnerability and loneliness during this case. At the end, he is hurt twice, once by Leslie's biting comments and then by Eames' "It's too late."

Excellent observations Donnajo - spot on as usual.
Vincent's performance was particularly good in this episode especially in the final scenes.
