My parents and I went out on Saturday and saw this movie. I didn't have any expectations at all since I've never seen the tv show. All I knew about it was the teensy bit that was mentioned in the Bruce Lee movie (Enter the Dragon?)...
Anyways, my mom said she liked the movie, my dad LOVED it. I liked it, found it entertaining. I'm not a huge fan of Seth Rogen but he did a pretty good job. There was only a couple small things I wish they hadn't done for him but that took up probably like a minute or two in the entire movie.
The Green Hornet is 3D, which I was surprised about. Didn't think it really needed it but it was still alright with it. What I really liked about the movie was that there was a little bit of humor in it. What I was IMPRESSED with is the guy who played Kato (Jay Chou). Not only was he a pretty good actor, he definitely knew what he was doing in terms of martial arts. My dad's a martial art buff and could tell this guy had training.
I never heard of Chou before but looked it up on IMDB and apparently he was in a few other martial art (Kung Fu) movies. His bio also said he was a fan of Bruce Lee which I think is cool since he took over his role.
Anyways, I definitely think The Green Hornet is a must see if you like action movies. It's entertaining despite some of the bloody shoot 'em up stuff.
