We learn that Eames married Joseph Dutton in 1995, and that Joe was killed in 1999.
Quotes:
Ross: “You have two weeks left.” Goren: “Doesn’t matter. A cop’s been shot.”
Theresa Quinn: “I’m sorry.” Eames: “Ok, it’s ok, Theresa.” Teresa: “No, it’s not. When Joe died I remember telling you how sorry I was. If there was anything I could do. When inside I was thinking, “Thank God it wasn’t Kevin.””
Chief Moran: “Since when is a cop not a reliable witness?” Goren: “When he can’t see clearly.”
Goren: “Ok, well, then, we should charge him on a lie.”
Eames: “My partner. He doesn’t adapt well to change.”
Ross: “You can tell your partner to stop pacing and join us.”
Tommy Quinn: “So, did you hear about that detective that let my dad’s killer get away?” Goren: “Yea. We’ll get his killer.” Tommy: “Chief of D’s? He told my mom that the detective was a whack job.”
Eames: “After Joe died, there wasn’t a place for me any more.”
Goren: “Well, after a loss, you know, people, you know, they screw up.”
Eames: “This isn’t one of your puzzles.”
Goren: “We have to do this. You know we have to do it. If it isn’t Delgado then someone killed Joe and got away with it.”
Goren: “Lady? You mean Detective Eames.”
Goren: “I’m the whack job.”
Manny Beltran: “I save people. I’ve saved hundreds of lives.” Eames: “It doesn’t make up for the one you took away.”
Eames: “He was a good cop.”
Eames: “There’s no such thing as getting even.”

Comments:
Welcome back, Bobby Goren. While you try to deal with your mother’s death and the revelation that your biological father might be a serial killer/murderer who viciously raped your mother, let’s have you deal with the murder of a police officer. A police officer who was the partner of the dead husband of your partner and best friend. One who appears to have lied about the death of that husband. And, Bobby Goren, let’s have you do your job the way you’re supposed to and save the NYPD from further shame. Let’s have you expose a bad cop who shouldn’t be on the job, but you, Bobby Goren, will be the cop called a “Whack job” and treated like a pariah. The NYPD doesn’t deserve you.
Well, it’s a little late, but I got it up!
