From On Location Vacations:‘Law and Order: Criminal Intent’ film their final scene in NYC by Christine on June 21, 2011 · 0 comments in New York City, On Location Photos
Last Friday was a sad day for Law and Order: Criminal Intent [/i] fans as the show’s stars, Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, shot the very last scene of the series. The shoot came as a surprise to fans because the show actually wrapped up a few weeks ago (they even had a sale to get rid of left over props and equipment a week before), but it is believed Friday’s shoot was necessary to clean up a few scenes and possibly make a few adjustments since the show is officially ending. One of our Twitter followers, @sapphire902, was kind enough to send us a few photos from that last day, making these our very last set of photos from a show that has been a staple in New York City for more than a decade. Check out her photos below and tell us how you feel about the show ending in the comments below.[/color]

"Never ending series" came to my mind when reading this. Goren and Eames one thousand and one nights? (one thousand and one tales? I must clarify, I am not into the G-E couple thing). Thanks for posting, VDO looks slimmer...

Hmmm. Make a few adjustments since the show is officially ending? I think everyone involved with the show knew that when the show wrapped a few weeks ago, lol.

It couldn't be a re-shoot of an earlier scene? Didn't Rene Balcer say he was in the last scene? Was he at Friday's re filming as well? Kacesq, what do you mean? You don't think they were changing anything because they already knew the series was ending when they filmed in May? I read elsewhere (oh please don't ask me where... one of the blogs) someone's opinion that too much was being made of this bonus filming day and that they probably just had to "clean up" a scene that didn't turn out well for some technical reason. I don't know anything about filming TV scenes and I guess it doesn't matter anyway. Sunday we will see if the scenes from Friday's shoot replace the scene in the preview or if it is something else entirely.

Yep, that's what I mean. The article makes it seem like they had to change some scenes to make it a "finale" but USA was always clear that this was a final season and Rene Balcer and Warren Leight both said that they had closure working on the final episode so... I Well, here's my take on it. You were warned, lol, and I may have spent too much time analyzing the photos and the promo. It looks as if Goren's t-shirt is black when he's in Gyson's office and it looks blue in the photos. That could be lighting. I thought originally that maybe they were re-filming the final scene of the episode which I think will be the Goren walks out of the building and Eames smiles at him. BUT the buildings in the background of the photos are different - they're all townhouses with stairs whereas Goren comes out of a revolving door. The only thing that gave me pause about those photos was the t-shirt/jacket thing VDO was wearing when this season, he's done shirt/tie/jacket when he's on the job and the t-shirt/jacket thing seems to be for the therapy sessions - sometimes, not always. Who knows? Rene said he's in the final scene and I would hate if they refilmed it and cut him out. You can spot him in the promo, I think, if you look quick enough. FWIW. All my speculation entirely. ETA: I think it's the "final" scene as in the final scene CI will ever shoot, but not final in the sense that it's the last scene of the last episode. TV shows film out of sequence all the time. For instance, the last scene ever filmed for Sex and the City was the fight Carrie has with Big which actually occurs in the 2nd-to-last episode.

Thanks Kacesq! Ohhhhh :lightbulb goes on: that makes perfect sense. The last scene filmed, not the last scene of the episode. Sorry to be reductive, but you summed it all up nicely! Thanks for the link dimarec! I think they both look tired, as if they are thinking "are we finished yet?"! It also might have been hot that day.

Really? Ya think? Wow I don't hear that very often! ::running to get the kids:: ;D Nice video. If I knew how, I'd make one for Alex Eames.
