I have several favorites. I guess at the top of that list would be Cherry Red: Creative casting of Paul Dooley and Dennis Christopher as father and son once again (Breaking Away). An excellent example of the intent so many of the early seasons exhibited. Cool cars!
I watched Pilgrim (one of my faves) the other morning and it occured to me... I wonder what happened to Goren's switchblade?

"Rispetto"for the Charlie Sheen type character played by Jay Mohr. That was sweet.

There's SO many...
BUT I have to say I love Bright Boy. The kid in it was great, Goren's interactions with Robbie were great. I love how Goren figure out the boy was suicidal and in the end, how he saved the boy by getting him out of that situation. It was a happy ending for Robbie who went to live with his aunt to be a normal kid. You don't see that much.

Bright Boy makes my top five list of favorites for all the reasons ah mentions, but I also like it because I own the same bedroom furniture seen in Robbie's room. I figure that's the closest VDO will ever get near a bed of mine! ;D

Lord, let me narrow it down. Antithesis for you know who, POI for much the same reason and the way she gets him in a restaurant, Chinoiserie because he is so cute when interacting with other characters, Want for the vulnerability displayed by both actors and closeup on Vincent in restaurant. Assasin because of the political story, snarking with Wheeler and whispering about blouses at the end. Last Rites was powerful and To the Bone because of Chelsea Watkins.

Probability is my very favorite. I love the scene where Wally is looking at all the files and telling Goren and Eames about the scam. Everything about that scene is priceless. From Goren furiously trying to keep up to Eames' amusement.

My alltime favorite is Art from Season 1. I think that's when I really fell for this show. I think it was classic Goren - "Impressionists are too pretty." Loved the interplay between G/E throughout the episode, loved Langer, loved that you knew who did it from the beginning and they still managed to get the twist in with Sylvia Moon's college roommate.
Whenver that episode is on, I will watch it. I have a lot of other favorites - of the Logan eppies, To the Bone is fantastic - Cherry Red, Beast...

I have waaayyy too many favorites (a couple from each season at least!), but if I had to choose just one...well, I'd probably choose One!
Yep, the very first episode. Jake Weber was great as master criminal/manipulator Karl Atwood and his "Ice Queen" Gia wonderfully played by Michele Hicks were apt foes for our new heroes Eames and Goren to take on, outsmart and bring down.
"We'll get them," states Goren emphatically to one victim's parents. "You don't get to do this for a bunch of rocks," he tells Eames.
Goren, we see is taking in the scene at a glance, knows immediately that the dead perp in the safe room is the computer whiz because of the copper wire bits embedded in his glove and that his clothes are new because the pockets are still sewn shut! "Yowza," we say, "this guy notices everything!"
We get to see this duo's Captain tell them to "follow police procedure," thanking Alex for the updates and detail work and telling "even a right-brained guy" like Goren to touch all the bases. We meet ADA Carver who takes a leap of faith by trusting Goren's insights in order to bring the criminals to justice.
The story and teleplay by Wolf and Balcer pulls us in and takes us for a ride along with some new detectives: Goren "likes to watch." Eames "likes to listen." And we, as fans, have gratefully done both since 2001! ;D

Leonore, I agree that ONE was a great way to introduce LOCI! Goren says "We got her" and identifies Gia's 'tell' (biting her thumb). Also, we see petite Alex take down the big guy in the office supply store! Loved the ending when Eames said "Men come and go, but diamonds...." and Bobby said "Diamonds don't keep you warm at night." I always think to myself "Yes, but diamonds can BUY something to keep you warm at night!" LOL ;D

It wasn't about money. It was about a connection to a soul sucking maggot who threw out crumbs for her.

Oh maybe we should start a soul sucking crumb throwing maggot thread! There were a lot of those through the years!
While we are talking favorites... how about any episode with Logan and Rodgers exchanging zingers? ;D
Dramma Giocoso Rodgers: singing in the morgue Logan: Never thought I'd envy the dead!
