Ok, no one seems eager to discuss their favorite episode, let's try another one. What's your least favorite episode?

Between season 5 and 8, it is hard to narrow it down, but I would say Vacancy. dull, dull, filmed in a tunnel and turgid, unsympathetic people.

My least favorite was the last one because it was the final episode. View From Up Here, or what ever the name of that silly thing was. Proud Flesh was a stinker too.

Proud Flesh was awful! Lazy aria, convoluted plotline, no likeable people.

This question isn't exclusively Goren and Eames episodes, by the way. I grew to like Mike Logan a lot, but a couple of those early episodes with Barek weren't very good. It felt like they were rejected scripts for Goren and Eames.

Vacancy is my least favorite it just gives me the creeps everytime I see it. I even like the View from up Here better.

There are a few that are at the bottom of my list. Grow, because of the way NW was handled in that episode. It was overall a decent plot but I think the end with her saving the girl was out of character. If she thought the guy was hurting his daughter I don't think she would have stuck around. She'd either use the info to hurt him, kill him, or take the girl and use her as her own little pet. (IMO).
Diamond Dogs because Barek was awkward, it was like they just threw in a female version of Goren and it FELT that way.
and,
The Healer because the plot was a little silly and a completely forgettable episode.

It was silly but I loved it because of Logan's response to zombies, and not just his partner.

All the Goldblum episodes, hands down.

I could tolerate the Goldblum episodes with Wheeler and Ross because I really liked those characters but when I watched a few of the Goldblum episodes from season 9 one Monday, when I was cleaning my house, they were truly awful. The writing and the acting from the supporting characters was painful. To me Goldblum was written as Goren lite and it just didn't work. I had always liked Goldblum prior to this, I thought he was hilarious in Jurassic Park and I still remember his dramatic turn in an Ernie Kovacs movie but I think this role just didn't work for him.

I'm going to mention my least favorite Goren/Eames episodes, since I honestly have to say that I'm somewhat indifferent to the episodes with other teams. No offense, they're OK, and some are actually really good, but it isn't really true blue LOCI to me. Least favorite overall have to come from Season 8. IMO, VDO was basically phoning it in most of the time, with a few notable exceptions. I will never tune in again to see "Alpha Dog." Ugh. That whole plotline was terrible, with the old creep jealous of the younger poster boy. Second least favorite is "All In" with the fake Josh.

Totally agree idget. Nothing against Goldblum, just that he was miscast as a character created haphazardly.

While I wish that the original actor could have reprised his role as Josh, I still have a positive opinion of Season 8. USA did a great disservice to D'Onofrio, the show and the fans by shuffling the order of the episodes...I hope when they release on DVD there is some mention of this and a corrected viewing line-up is provided (Are you listening Wolf productions??!). Bringing Goren back from the shell-shocked man at the end of Frame to what should have been the season finale of Season 8: Family Values was a wonderful performance by D'Onofrio and by the writers. Instead fans were treated to a disjointed, mish-mash of episodes with no continuity, leaving fans scratching their heads and saying " Huh?".

I agree with most of the above. 'Proud Flesh' was truly awfuland a criminal waste of Malcolm McDowell, and 'A View from Up Here' was cringeworthy. 'Alpha Dog' and 'Selfmade' belaboured Goren's issues with bad father figures too much. One that hasn't been mentioned that I hated was 'The War at Home'. I have seen every Goren and Eames episode multiple times, even Proud Flesh, b ut I have watched 'The War at Home' only twice and hope never to see that one again. I didn't mind Goldblum, but it was a different show and that's why people (including me) were so upset with those episodes. They should have renamed it L&O: Something Else and restarted it as a different branch of the series. Then the expectations of living up to Goren and Eames would not have been there, and there would have been a better chance of success. Still, those episodes keep CI ticking along until the powers that be realised they should give Goren and Eames a real send off, so we should be thankful for them.
