Oh my!
A Goren Laser Show
"do we have your attention now?"
I felt sorry for the poor wife. Goren really caused some collateral damage.

Yes, I see what you mean, Greeble. She's lost her husband and provider and her son's lost a father. On the other, he was a psychopath - not the easiest person to be married to I'd imagine. On the other, other hand she had effectively already dumped him when she decided to up the insurance policy on his life to $2 million.

Oh, no, I meant he broke her down, she was sobbing pretty good there.
Loosing hubby/father was inevitable

Yea, I watched it again Trisha, he did have a solid hand on a beam. Still... holy crap...*grin* Yes, Marie, it would've been too much of a tid-bit , if they had gone anymore into Dad's funeral or who was there with whom. *bunch of teasers...lol* So , not only was Goren's Dad a bonvivont (sp?), he liked to play the ponies...he had a gambling problem, on top of the drinking and carousing? Man, I'm starting to get a better picture of Bobby's home life in his youth. And its not getting any better...

Det. Goren's good old Dad was a philandering alcoholic gambler. What a wonderful role model for young Bobby. I wonder who was a positive male role model for him, if Dad abandoned him and Mom and an older brother has been out of the picture for quite a while?
I'm thinking the woman Dad's friend brought up might have been one of the "ladies" Dad "knew" as a bon vivant, and who had the nerve to show up at the funeral uninvited and unannounced. Which might partly explain why Goren looked and sounded so annoyed when the friend asked Eames if she was the one.

Ooo.. One of Daddy's "lil friends" showing up at the funeral! Talk about a awkward moment...and how pissed off would Bobby be!
Wonder if 'Mr. Gambling friend' they met at the bar, knew Bobby in his youth? He obviously still thinks highly of Bobby, and Bobby still keeps in contact with him. Wonder if he hung around and chatted with Bobby, after Dad took off?

As for the 'date', I figured Dad's friend saw Eames talking to Goren at the funeral (because of course she went). Hence the 'she the one you brought?' question. And his annoyed response, 'cause who takes a date to a funeral?
