There was a show on the other night about love on one of those educational channels. The expert was talking about how couples in love would die for one another. They even interviewed one of the couples and both the young man and woman both remarked how they would willingly die for the other without any hesitation. I don't know if they would follow through on a suicide pact because that was not asked. The show was explaining about the brain changes when the person is in love. Something about the pleasure center and dopamine. Rather interesting show. I guess this really didn't answer the question.......

I don't know if it's been addressed in the thread before, but in this day & age do couples in love really commit suicide in order to be together forever? The threat from Eugenia's parents, that they wouldn't pay for her college if she dated Nicholas. IDK, suicide isn't a realistic response. She could have taken out student loans or taken a break from college & worked. It's mentioned that Nicholas had a history of a prior attempt. Can a young woman who doesn't suffer from depression be so easily influenced by a boyfriend to join a suicide club? I don't think someone who isn't clinically depressed would be so easily led to commit suicide. However, she could have been depressed as well but no one diagnosed her as such. It's amazing how many people suffer needlessly for so long because they go undiagnosed for so long for various reasons.

When I was in Jr High, I remember there was a book in the library based on a true story of two teens who were a couple that committed suicide. They put a hose to the exhaust pipe and fed it into the car. I just thought it was an odd book to have in a Jr High Library.

I just watched this one this morning. Love tivo. Anyway Hammond plays Timmons like a Donald Trump character. A sleazy guy you wish had thought of the suicide pack. He drove both people to hopelessness but never actually pushed them over. Yet his right hand guy helped him in a backhanded way. What a mess it all was.
I liked this episode. I know the suicide pack was an issue to many people who watched the episode. Goren and Eames investigated it like any other crime and I was basically happy with the show.
