I loved this ep! Especially the mint sequence..."Would you like a mint? ......Are you sure you don't want a mint?... ARE you SURE you don't want a mint?.......The sexy smile he had when the flight attendant offered him one didn't hurt either.
If I ever get another dog, I'm going to name him Ebit!

I like a lot of things about this ep, but as a dog trainer I can’t help but respond to your mention of the dog. Judging from that dog’s reaction, D’Onofrio both knows and likes dogs – and they like him. If you watch the dog when the woman is holding it, it’s giving clear signs of stress and anxiety. But almost as soon as Goren picks it up it starts relaxing and showing signs that it wants to interact with him. That calming of the dog is not needed for the scene – and someone who didn’t have the right attitude couldn’t deliberately produce that in a dog anyway. It’s just something D’Onofrio did, either automatically, or deliberately because he wanted to help ease the dog’s stress. Either way, it speaks well of both the character and the actor – at least, to those of us who like dogs.

The real test is cats...I agree that dogs are good judges of character. I can't cite the story at the moment, but there is a Sherlock Holmes story in which Holmes comments one can judge a home by the dog--happy, well behaved dog=happy, good family; bad, evil dog=bad, evil family. But cats are more picky. And dictators hate cats--Stalin, Hitler hated cats.
And I'm pretty sure Mr. D'Onofrio likes cats--I know he's had them in the past.

It's a good sign in a man.......Ironically, my cat is very needy, which-from what I've read-may describe Mr.Donofrio himself in a relationship....I know! I know! Going way off topic! Forgive me.....
