I am anticipating the return of this show if just for Bruce Campbell. The guy never fails to put me in a good mood.

Absolutely, Bruce Campbell is what got me to watch the show in the beginning - he has a certain appeal. It wasn't long though, before I was hooked. So, that's where I'll be on Thursday.

BURN NOTICE had its summer season finale last night, and it was a doozy. I've come to really like and enjoy this series and its characters. This summer season has dealt with Michael Weston's efforts to get back with his agency (whatever it is) and to deal with his relationship with his girlfriend/partner Fiona (whatever that is). To accomplish the first he had to threaten the second, and in the finale he had to choose between them. The episode had what makes BURN NOTICE so good--clever, funny, well written and plotted with just enough emotional resonance to make you care about the characters.
Look, this isn't a deep, dramatic show. It's well done entertainment that expects its audience to have some brains. And maybe that's something.

I enjoy Burn Notice too, but I fell asleep during last night's finale. I'll catch it again.

I am a huge Bruce Campbell fan also, which is the reason I started watching the show. I am currently reading his Autobiography "If Chins Could Kill". It is pretty good. I enjoyed the season finale. I just wish some one would give Fionna something to eat, I have seen anorexics who look better than her.

I agree with you Idget, about Gabrielle Anwar's too thin physique. Everyone always says she's so hot. Doesn't hot usually mean a decent set of boobs? I'm curious what our guys here think? I thought the finale was very good, but not great. It bugged me that Fiona was born & bred Irish, yet had completely lost her brogue. Yes, she explained why (her cover) but when she was alone with her brother she never reverted back. Yet Michael had to fake a brogue (long story) , and he did it perfectly. I'll miss the show. Looking forward to next summer.

Oh yea, she is skinny. If tv puts 10 lbs on you, what does she look like in person? Heavens, some meat on her would make her hot. I like her acting, how she portrays her character, just wish she didn't look so unhealthy thin. She has, however been thin since I first saw her in the movies years ago. Scent of a woman, I think it was. So this is probably normal for her.
A few months ago, I saw her interviewed on the Today show. It was a good interview and hearing her with her normal accent was great. She really works on the type of accent she uses with Fionna.

On the recommendation of AL and DonnaJ, I watched one episode. Meh. Then several more. OKAY! The anorexic and emotionally led Fiona seems ridiculously set up as a lethal weapon, but aside from that bit of eye-candy casting, I like this funny show. Magnum PI for the naughties.

Just a note that BURN NOTICE is back with a new season. It's still on at 10 pm(EST) on USA on Thursdays. Fiona is still skinny, Bruce Campbell is still wonderful, Michael's Mom is still a pain, and Micheal has got more problems.

I have my DVR ready. Patcat. I had no idea that one of last season's final episodes had Tyne Daly as a guest star? Just saw it. Seeing her and Sharon Gless together was wonderful!
