Thank's very much Trisha for the well-wishes! OK, "Constantine" was "just Okay". Kinda reminded me of The Matrix-Dante's Inferno style...lol! Good music and special effects, the rest was kinda 'eh'...*grin* I'm getting excited to see another S 2 episode Tues. I can't hardly believe we are actually getting S 2! Ya think NBC people have been lurking? hmmmmm *looks around* Well, Metella...at least you have some actual snow to frolick in. It's 65 degrees here and sunny. Probably get up to the 70s this week.. then drop back down to the 30s. No wonder we're all sick.. yea?

The Matrix meets Inferno ... that's an interesting image. I may have to give that flic a shot. I always get sick when the weather changes like that here in MI. It's been hanging right around 25 degrees lately, and if you check out the weather channel, you can see the massive snow storm that moving in on us right now. So, we're about to get buried, too. It really sucks, too, because the effects of our last blast is still pretty heavy, and many roads in my area weren't plowed until people had driven over the snow for a few days, so theres a layer of ice in some places that will soon be covered with what is expected to be 8 inches of snow

TCM's 31 Days of Oscar is winding down. MelTex, I await your final report on what movies you watched this past weekend.
Speaking of the Oscars, did anyone watch the TV broadcast last night? I decided to skip all the fanfare and yakking and just go online to check out who won what. I watched the CI rerun "Fico Di Capo" and smiled again as Det. Goren did his sleight of hand move with the handkerchief, only to produce it later at just the right moment.

The Oscar cast wasn't bad, wasn't good. Sean Penn demonstrated he had no sense of humor (and may have been drunk); Julia Roberts looked way too good for someone who just had twins; Hilary Swank was gorgeous and rambling; Jamie Foxx eloquent and touching. I was mildly disappointed that Scorsese didn't win, but Eastwood probably deserved the award.
Morgan Freeman was classy, eloquent, brief, and cool.
I had a mixed reaction to Chris Rock--I loved the way he took after sacred cows, but I don't think he really loves the movies the way an Oscar host should. Although his interviews of real movegoers at the Magic Johnson Theater in Los Angeles was a hoot.
Renee Zwelleger did not look good.
I'd pretty much given up on the OSCARS, and really only watched them because I was invited to an Oscar party. The party was fun.

I taped the show. Later, I *watched* the whole 3+ hours in a matter of 20 minutes. Thank goodness for the FF button. I only stopped to listen to Cate Blanchet (who I thought looked the best), Morgan Freeman, Jamie Foxx, Hilary Swank and Clint Eastwood. And yes indeed...Julie Roberts, about three months after giving birth to twins, sure looked good.

Oh, just went to a friends' house, and we all chipped in 50 cents for an Oscar ballot. We watched the show and made snarky remarks--it was fun.
All of us were very unimpressed by the Best Song nominations and/or performances.

oh, that sounds like fun. I am blissfully clueless about all of this year's award shows.

So was I, I didn't even see who won what until this afternoon. I did think Cate Blanchette was the most elegant looking one there... and Julia (dang!) If I ever get pregnant, I want to look that good afterward! sheesh! (I'd need a body-transplant though, ) Techguy, well I got to see " The Quiet Man", cause I try to catch that whenever its on, just to see Maureen get dragged by the scruff of the neck over the Irish countryside...*laugh* I also got to see part of Fiddler on the Roof before I had to leave. And unfortunatly I came in on the last half of Around the World in Eighty Days, dang it! Thats the one I really wanted to see!! Cold Case was a good one, even though it was a re-run.. I liked the forties WWII music. Hell, I love the period music on 'Cold Case'... period! *grin*

I laugh each time at the dragging her through the countryside and the whole county following them to her brother's house. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I do. I have much more sympathy for Sean than Mary Kate.

It's been quite a while since I last saw Best Defense, but, yes, I'd say it's a good episode. I remember the last scene though. Let's just say that Mr. Carver is not too happy with the detectives.
