Catbird-your Mom sounds like a very good person. Sometimes family members try our souls.
Coth-Watch that about "older people". I prefer to be referred to as "wiser people", if you please.

Happy Belated Birthday, Trisha and NicoleMarie! Trisha, you’re just now turning 30 years old? I had no idea you were so young. And once you get to be my age, you’ll realize what a compliment that is. You seem to have the good sense that usually comes with more maturity. So, Rom, young man, it’s 50 when we have to worry? I’ll remember that... since I’m a good deal closer to 50 than I am to thirty... or even forty. ‘Scuse me whilst I hobble off and fix myself some nice warm cream of wheat... if I can remember where the kitchen is... Eh, BegToDiffer, what was that you said? ‘Eyes t’your steeple’ if you sneeze? Looking to religion is all very well, my dear, but we older folk need to take better care of our health than that... here, let me get you a nice hot water bottle and a lap quilt... ....now, if I can just remember where I put that lap quilt... [...hobbles off, muttering about old friend Mable who made that lap quilt herself on a small quilting frame she used to keep in her living room... ...and how we all used to gather at her house for tea and quilting... ...and...]

Nice, Observer.
[From one who is also closer to 50 and has long forgotten what 30 was all about]

snicker - I can just see Rom rushing to the keyboard to assure he meant no insult ..... Rom, they are just funning with you. Say Nikki - if you were born in India .... do you hold double citizenship in Canada AND India? My friend's boyfriend ..... ended up with citizenship in the USA, Germany and Italy. oh, which passport would you like to see? ha ha

That's a good question, Metella! I'll have to check with my parents and get back to you.
I've only been to Hawaii, Seattle, Portland, California, Buffalo and England; I didn't need a passport for any those US destinations. Or to the UK, as a member of the Commonwealth.
Although, I hear things are going to be changing really soon as Canadians will require a passport to visit the US. Which, in turn, would mean that you all would need a passport when you come up North because you won't be able to get back to the US without one. N'est pas?

Nikki, that’s only true for those who *want* to come back... ...(I’d put a wink there, but the state of my country makes me far too sad to do that...) snicker - I can just see Rom rushing to the keyboard to assure he meant no insult ..... Rom, they are just funning with you. yeah, we know Rom never meant any offense. ;D By the way, BegToDiffer, I think Coth was funning with Trisha, as well... if you look to your left you’ll see I’ve got poor ol... er, I mean wise Coth sitting in my favorite rocking chair, with a beautiful hand-crocheted afgan around his shoulders to keep the chill off... Now you just settle down, dear, and I’ll make all us wise folk some nice warm tea while the youngsters play... And Coth! Great to see you posting again! I’ve been mostly zipping by and checking the last 10 posts, recently – but the board has been so active that I’ve missed a lot, or I would have welcomed you back sooner. [edited to correct gynocentric gender assumptions! Sorry about that... I've often had people assume I was male, so I ought to remember to check first...]

Before I forget, Happy Birthday Nikki I bet you all never knew how many stubborn oxen there were on this board ;D (referring to our astrological sign, Tauras)Observer, thanks This is the first time I've ever been flattered by someone thinking I'm older than I actually am. Had you said it to my face, it would be another story, especially since I'm alreay stocking up on wrinkle cream. It's scary how fast they happen. I swear I didn't have a single one 2 years ago, now I'm seeing them everywhere They're fine and few compared with others I know about my age, but they still make me a little sad, especially when I go out with my 23 year old sister in law. I love her, but I try not to stand next to her

Trisha, that was so cute to read about kids! I love my nieces and nephews and little cousins to pieces! They usually make me crazy after a few hours though. hehehehe Mr. NM and I just haven't decided to have any yet. We'll hit 6 years in August and thus far, just prefer our fuzzy kitty cats! Thanks for saying I'm an awesome wife! hehehe You wouldn't say that if you ate my cooking!!! Hey, this is corny but, maybe we should have a birthday thread? I seen one on the SVU board but that board makes me coo-coo!!

And a stupid question of the night: I have seen this board mentioned here so I thought maybe someone here can help me. How do I become a member of the vincentdonofriofans board? I tried three times to get registered, no response! Do I have to beg??
