Yippy for Fall! I already can't wait for Halloween ;D Today I took the moppets bowling, but I spent the whole day wishing we had gone to the cider mill instead ... then we drove by it and I was glad we didn't It was the perfect day for it, so it was packed.

The weather here is still in the high 20's and early thirties. hmmm
It makes my cat very cuddly though. He's too fat and it's too hot for him to be too much of an outdoor terror.

Sirenna, 20s and 30s is hot? Oh, celsius, duh-huh. (I'm with Peppermint Patty: "If they ever ask you to convert fahrenheit to celsius, just remember it's easier to put on a sweater.")We got kinda cool Friday, but this week we're still in the 70s/80s. Cooling off at night though, getting darker a little sooner. And you're making me pout--I wish I had my cats to cuddle.
This weekend was pretty tame. Roommate's mom came and took us out to lunch yesterday. Mini-festival geared for the neo-hippies (but I did get a rather nice shawl that makes a great wrap for sitting at the computer or reading!). Homework readings today. But Trisha, bowling sounds a fun trip with the moppets--isn't Little Miss pretty good? (Or am I thinking of someone else's birthday party from a while back...)

Oh Lord, no, she's quite awful, but I told her she was brilliant. She had to use the slide the last time, and maybe if she had used it this time, she could have broken 60 -- mind you, that's with the bumpers! One time, she rolled the ball so slow, it got about 1/3 down the lane, then rolled back to her. LOL! I've never seen that happen before. The weather here has been nice. Today we broke into the 80's, and will again (if the weather channel is right) tomorrow and Tues. It was in the 50's and 60's last week, and we got a lot of rain (thank you Rita,) so it feels like summer has swept back in for an encore

I've always like Chris Noth, but I can't help it - no Goren and Eames = no CI. It just isn't the same show at all. I miss De N'Ofrio's "evil Columbo" sort of manipulation of the suspects and Eames' clever counter-maneuvers. They are going to have to come up with a stronger character ID - "thing" for these 2 in order for it to succeed.
Now who thinks Crossing Jordan is boring? I love that show! I watch it every Mon - Thurs on A&E at 11 PM, plus its regular time. I wish that, instead of doing the combo with "Vegas," they could combine with CSI for an episode. Too bad they are not on the same network. I can't understand why Jordan and Woodie can't ever get together, though. Tonight in the last seconds Woodie wakes up in the bed with the casino owner's daughter and he has on a wedding ring!!! Can't wait for tomorrow night to find out how this happened!

I played hooky from work today. It's my first time ever but the weather was so nice and frankly, I just didn't feel like going in today. I went to the local university instead. It's a very old campus and the grounds have to be one of the most beautiful places to be in the fall.
Tomorrow I work.

Oooh, nice call Sirenna! Wish I could do that, but I'm too AR/paranoid to skip a class unless I'm either sick as a dog or just plain near nervous breakdown. I guess it helps that I ahve a good bit of free time, though I wish there were more nice places to walk on campus. We're starting to hit Fall, a little cooler now but it still swings up to the high 70s.
Feel better Metella!

cleaned closets?!! That's a waste of a good hooky day.
I've never skipped a day before but I had my reasons. I only felt a teeny tiny bit guilty. The weather was hot and humid, at leat 32 degrees (that's over a hundred fahrenheit, Catbird). being on Campus was cool. School just started and you can tell the students are excited to be back. Strange to say, compared to my uni-days but they seem so committed[\b] to getting good grades.

Trisha, Little Miss sounds like just the kind of gal I'd like to bowl with. I once got a 78 and was thrilled.
Sirenna, everyone needs a mental health day now and then. I'm sure it was good for your soul. Do you think your boss feels guilty when they take one?

Weird weather! Ha! Try Indiana, where the temperature regularly changes 20 degrees in an hour, where I have seen softball sized hail and a snowbow (that's a rainbow during a snowstorm--it was actually very cool).
It's 84 today, but supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow. Welcome, fall!

Woody married Delinda? OMG....Poor Jorden...........
I too love Crossing Jorden. Woody married Delinda?OMG........
We have cloudy cold skys here....I want summer back. I never seem to get enough of it when it is here and now I'm looking at like 6 to 8 months of cold wet rain.... Welcome to the concrete rain forest... Bah Humbug.... Mabey this year we will get decent snow that isn't followed by rain right away. The city looks so beautiful all winter wonderland....it so makes the winter worth it in my books.
