Anyone got plans for the weekend?
I've known you all for a few years now and I realize I know nothing about you all - day to day that is. So...
What do you do on the weekends?

it has taken me 3 weekends to paint my living room; because for some reason I am anti-roller - so I am using a brush and doing the ceiling with a brush is certainly taking me a LONG long time ......

I am preparing for St Pattys day, since its on a Friday I will be having a huge bash at my house, so I must clean up the backyard and start ordering food and kegs. Then on Monday I'm goin to a Disturbed concert. If its as good as the KORN concert last weekend I'll be in hog heaven !! Thursday is the first viewing of Five Minutes Mr Welles at the San Jose Film Festival and then Sunday I go back for the second time around. I'm catchin a couple other movies too, but Mr Welles is the one I am most excited about cuz its a Mr D'Onofrio film.

Generally, the weekends I alternate between farting around online or doing work. I've gotten better about doing my reading and stuff on Saturday, although I need to work on papers and major stuff as well. Sleeping in is of the utmost importance. Occassionally I will walk the mile or so to the local drugstore to pick up various necessities, as well as campus errands.
But not this weekend! Tomorrow afternoon I leave to go home for Spring Break! Over the break the only definite things I have planned are going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and an eye exam. Unfortunately I have to go looking for summer jobs, blah, but I will get a whole week to rest, read fun books, and catch up on all those TCM tapes! I also plan to show my parents selected highlights of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report".
Unfortunately, I have to start--er, finish a three page essay due tomorrow morning. Three double spaced pages are not much, however I am antsy and in my most easily distracted of moods. I just can't get whipped up about the perfect wife and satirization of marriage/honor by Cervantes. Off to dawdle, take care all!

I am taking my camera in hopes of catching a glimpse of Mr. D'Onofrio and I will let you all know how the movie is.

A "weekend"? What's that? Birthday wishes to happyfreak and the rest of the March babies. Cherry Red is on at the moment and Eames just finished telling Goren he has to get out of the car. ;D

Jeezzumcrow!!!Another movie I don't know anything about??! I guess my weekend will be spent reading the whole message board! I am actually feeling quite anti-social and my neighbor across the street can't figure out how to call my cell phone while I'm online so that's a bonus. Metella, anti-roller?? You are such an old fashioned kinda gal!! Think of me while you splash bright colors. My whole apartment is panelling, (most of it FAKE), so I have been saving up to buy some great fabric to cover the walls with. Where did I get that idea, you ask??

Weekends- Same old, same old. Clean the kitchen, clean the dining room, clean the living room, clean the pet cages, wash clothes. Unless I have a class, my Saturdays suck! Sunday-church, pray for a maid, miss football, drive the cats nuts with the laser light. Wait for 9 p.m. to come. (If its a Goren/Eames night. If not, catch up on paper work. Gosh, could I be more pathetic?

I try to head to my condo on the weekends. (During the week I work in another city and I stay at my parents' house while I'm there). This weekend I saw a movie '16 Blocks' with a friend. Drove to Toronto and made dinner which gave me food poisoning. (This is why I never cook. I think it was the chicken sauce - way too rich for my stomach.) I haven't felt this crappy for years.
I met up with another friend for coffee the next day and she was thoughtful enough to bring me a gift of a new bottle of pepto bismal which actually did help with the nausea. I went home and did a bit of housekeeping which I finished in about half an hour (I'm not as focussed as Begtodiffer!) and drank lots of hot tea which is helping. I mean lots - I think I'm on my fourth cup. Then tomorrow back to work.

First thing I try, although I dunno if it'd help w/ food poisoning, is applesauce with ginger sprinkled on top. Saw an episode of "Mythbusters" where they tested various anti-nausea meds and fresh ginger was top of the list. Since I am lazy, I just get the stuff in the herb jars.

Lil'E - I have some left over sticky tape .... cost to you ..... visit to me ha ha ha
anyway - I highly reccommend the fabric for any rentals - very easy put up unless you are anal and you can take it down and wash it & then imagine how fresh it smells when you put it up! AND you can take it with you when you go.

OOOHHHH............. sticky tape!! I just had an argument with my neighbor-who-knows-EVERYTHING about how to do it. She thinks I should just put curtain rods all over the place or staple it after covering the paneling with dry wall and painting it then I could just remove the drywall when I leave and the paneling would just be as good as new!! This from a woman who has had four or five contractors walk out in the middle of jobs because she either tells them what to do or tries doing it herself and destroys things or buys cheap materials and expects them to work miracles.
If I ever get the car running again I will take you up on the tape!!

Rest in peace-Dana Reeve. So sorry for this news. Life sure isn't fair to some people. However, I do believe she is with Chris again.

Does anyone remember Dana Reeve on the season 1 episode of L&O:CI. It was titled "The Faithful". She was the woman who was involved with the priest being investigated. She was a very good actress.
