June is here, and I have 1/2 a new roof up.
Talk about being in the poor house. Now I really will have to sell all my VDO items just to eat. ;D
Anyone have fun summer plans? I am just going to do yard work and start on reorganizing my shed so I can store all my off season items there & actually have room in my closetless house.

Half a roof? Your place sounds rather interesting.

ok - well at this time I now have a whole roof. ha! but I'll be broke for a year catching up from this - the old house had about 30% of the roofing boards rotted out and had to be replaced with plyboards. sigh. good thing I like PB&J

Just wanted to wish Mrs. Techguy all the best during her biopsy today. Both she and Techguy are in my prayers.
Haven't gotten the results from my biopsy yet. I think all the pathologists took the holiday week off.

Yes, best wishes, prayers, thoughts for everyone.
I have another car--my beloved Cavalier was totalled by hail--and I purchased a 1993 Oldsmobile Regency 98 from some friends. This is a nice car, with all the bells and whistles, except a CD player. It's a little too old. And so far it appears to get very good gas mileage.

Those dealing with the stress of getting biopsies are in my thoughts.
Summer plans? Hmmm...I'll be going up to Seattle to play and be silly at a big Solstice Fair in a couple of weeks. There is a looming girls-only beach weekend coming up (this will include spinning yarn, knitting, drinking copious amounts of wine, bonfires, and perhaps a LOCI marathon), and the Mr. and I need to start planning our big Summer party.
Ah, notice how I only mentioned the fun things? Let's just ignore the rest....the leak in the wall in the front room, the bad gutter, the siding that needs repair, the trees we need to plant in the orchard, and cleaning out the goat barn.

The goat barn, I would probably put off indefinately (poor goats!) but you should do the orchard plantings. That sounds like a fun way so spend time outside.

Metella, I can sympathize with you on the home rennovations. We have been rennovating our home over the past year, new addition, roof, windows, siding, front porch, screen porch, drainage system and now we will be tackling the kitchen and master bathroom this summer. Then our entire house will have been completely redone. I can't wait until it is all finished and I don't have contractors roaming around my house anymore!!
On a fun note, since the contractors will be inside my house, my kids and I will have to be outside having fun all summer and no kitchen = no cooking!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for their support for me and my wife. She had a long rough day, and won't know the results until mid to late next week. I don't know which is more stressful, the procedures or the waiting.

LMAO, maher!! If that is the case I know I don't want a cure!! Maybe the doctor can precribe some sort of 'gradual exposure therapy.' I have to be near VDO, for increasing amounts of time, so that I can develop a tolerance?! I will eagerly take that medicine!! You guys are priceless... caseyswife

Mrs Casey & Mrs Techguy, The best way to make the wait for biopsy results is to watch lots of LO:CI. I'll do a lot of simpathy watching for you too. I'm very excited, the highlight of my Summer will be my nephew's wedding next weekend in NYC to a wonderful woman, my large and widespread family will be converging on downtown Manhattan, from all over, Spain, Michigan, California..., and then in August, my brother's family will be coming to the States from Spain to scatter his ashes in CA where our parent's ahses are and then to settle my niece in at Knoxville, for her post-graduate. I'm a very proud Auntie I hope everyone else has a great Summer, including Metella, with your renovations, I just sit around and watch the house fall apart, I'm so lazy. madger

Congrats to your nephew and his bride, madger. And your niece is going to be in Knoxville, Tennessee?? Tell her to watch out for all those insane Vol fans and try not to wear too much orange!
