Thanks, madger! I feel very lucky to have a condition that is more annoying than anything else. And extra thanks for the venting offer! caseyswife

Techguy, I'm so sorry you, Mrs. Techguy and your family are going through such a terrible ordeal. I second madger's offer to help out in anyway and wish you all the best.
Caseyswife, I'm glad to know that your condition isn't as serious as it might have been.

Caseyswife, I got distracted and forgot to say I'm glad your biopsy results turned out the way they did, that your condition is not as serious as you first thought it could be.
And Catbird, I also forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday too. Belated best wishes to you, I hope you enjoyed your special day.

Best for all - & it may seem hollow in many cases - but I bet you know, TechGuy, that if you need anything and reach out to us - we will support you!
There is not much to do but offer well wishes & best thoughts right now. As someone else said, there are so many advances that you can look to the best treatment that has ever been available.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes, which Mrs. T and I appreciate and have given us both some much needed support. We'll know more on Friday after talking with the surgeon, so until then, we plan to just wait it out by relaxing and going about our normal business. As I said to a member here in a PM, my wife and I are in the foxhole of life together. She always was and has been there for me when I needed an emotional anchor. If there's any good to be seen in her present situation, at least now I can be there for her when she needs it.
ETA: On a lighter note--I just realized this--yesterday, on June 18, it was my two year anniversary on this board! What a fun time this has been, as I have very much enjoyed our ongoing discussions and debates with a fun bunch of people!
Oh, and I also noticed I'm closing in fast on 1000 posts (46 more to go as of this writing), which I think will get me promoted to the most coveted level Detective 1st Grade? I'll have to plan this out so #1000 is a most memorable post for the ages!

I've been out of town for a few days and certainly missed a lot. Techguy, you and your wife are in my thoughts. May she have a speedy and full recovery! Caseyswife, I'm so glad to hear your biopsy revealed a manageable condition. It sounds like you are well on your way to be fully educated and medicated for it. Belated Birthday wishes for Catbird!

Belated birthday wishes to you, Catbird. And birthday wishes to all of you born in June. Techguy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mrs. As someone who's received member support over the last 10 months while dealing with a critical illness, that support can be a Godsend.

I’ve been basically off-line for a while, so I’m just trying to catch up a bit.
Catbird, let me add my belated birthday wishes to NikkiGreen’s.
Techguy, I’m so sorry your wife is having serious health problems. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers.
Caseyswife, I’m glad your news is so much better than it might have been. Have you talked with your doctor about what could have triggered the auto-immune reaction? Also, you might ask your doctor to look into the studies on Milk Thistle. It has a remarkable ability to trigger the liver to regenerate. Some of its active ingredients have even been used to counteract cases of mushroom poisoning where the liver had been so damaged that the patients would normally have required a liver transplant. I don’t know if it’s ever been used in cases of granulomatous hepatitis; but I know it’s been studied extensively in Europe, so there may be some information out there that your doctor, or the specialist, might be able to locate. In any case, I hope things go well for you.

Observer2>> My mother-in-law mentioned milk thistle to me. I plan on asking the doc about it when I go in. He is very open about herbal supplements and such - but I want to make sure it doesn't counteract anything I'm already taking. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yep, Techguy/Mrs. and Caseyswife, y'all know I'm here. Add my hugs and prayers to everyone else's. It's a shame we can't send casseroles or anything over the internet.
Thanks again for the birthday stuff.
Further back, who was it that knew Maria from "Sesame Street"? (Sorry, the board at the bottom doesn't go back to the page.) That is so awesome! (I remember being thrilled that "Numb3rs" had Bill Nye as a guest star.) OK, I'm young.
Take care all.

She is absolutely gorgeous, I think they make her less pretty on the show, or the camera isn't that nice to her, in person she stops traffic. She is also very sweet, nice and intelligent (I'm not biased or anything ) very down to earth. madger
