Good to hear from you Techguy. In this information age there is so much to sift through, you and the Mrs. have your work cut out for you. I don't have any words of wisdom to offer, just my best wishes, always. Congratulations on your promotion to Detective 1st grade.

Techguy, Congrats on post 1,000 oh-Grand-Poobah! You know we love what you got. I'll email my aunt and see what she can find. Please let Mrs. T know we're still thinking about her; best wishes for follow-up treatment.
I'm at work, waiting for my supervisor to find something for me to do. Ho hum...next week is my last week, then family vacation at the beach, and classes start back the second week in August. Aaack!

Off to the beach tomorrow, for a whole week. Thank heavens, cause it's been a long couple weeks, and we havne't had a real vacation. My brother and I have been stocking up on books for there and the drive. No internet access, so it'll be a while before I get back on.
Later all, take care.

Are you ready for some football? NBC has wasted no time putting up the promo ads for their coverage of Sunday Night Football starting this fall. If only they had promoted CI half as well and half as often with this sort of enthusiasm.

Hand me a beer and order in the pizza ! NFL can't start too soon - but really Sunday afternoons are just fine.

Like they say in the new Taco Bell commercials, I'm good to go--and ready for football, if for no other reason than football = autumn and the end of this oppressive summer heat!
Metella: I don't know if you've already seen it, but I posted a video clip of Jack Kerouac in his thread on the Literary Obsessions board.

A brief rant--I really hate football. This may be the result of growing up in Indiana where basketball is king (although I now also dislike basketball as the result of it being jammed down my throat), or the fact I went to Indiana University where the football team is absymal (the team colors are Cream and Crimson and the word is this is because the team is always getting creamed by the competition and its blood runs crimson on the field), or just it's the focus of my belief sports is way overrated in the world.
Thank you for allowing me to vent.

Hockey kicks football's tired ass to the curb.
I am already so tired of NFL and College Football speculation that I am ready for the season to be OVER!! But, I do agree with The Poobah when it comes to the heat... Thank God the NHL doesn't have a long "offseason!"

Heh, vent away, Patcat....I can't stand sports. It's just not my thing, never has been and never will be (though admittedly I got really into the American curling team this past Winter Olympics). Thank goodness I married a computer nerd who is equally uninterested Hope you have a grand beach trip, Catbird!
