Haven't seen a thread like it, but If one exsists my apologies. I thought this might be entertaining. There are so many great quotes out there, so please add all you love and comment at will.

There used be a thread of quotes, etc. on the old USA board. How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it. -Marcus Aurelius If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man.
If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything.
You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. -Mark Twain Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. -Will Rogers ;D It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be simple. -Rabindranath Tagore Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you is determinism; the way you play it is free will. -Jawaharlal Nehru

Thou shalt not be a perpetrator. Above all, thou shalt not be a bystander". Holocaust Museum, Washington DC "Every good deed will not go unpunished." Uncle Austin "Let us not look back in anger or forward in fear, but around in awareness." James Thurber And my all time favorite; "May your joy be a deep as the ocean, your sorrow as light as if foam." anonymous

First...a little fun.....
"Stop useing me to justify your hatred." - God
Ohhh and since I found this......
'Did anyone see the repeat of Saturday Night Live last night on E! at 11:30? They had "Chris Matthews" interviewing "Ann" and he said something like "I'd call you a media whore, but that would be an insult to actual whores"'........Thank You Maherjunkie!
Which leads me to...
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President or that we are to stand by the President right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, but morally treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Rooselvelt
Which of course leads me to the question....Does anyone have any AC, the Coultergeist, quotes on treason?

Does anyone have any AC, the media whore, quotes on treason? www.rightwingnews.com/quotes/coultertreason.phpA few choice excerpts from AC's "Treason" are noted below. But as Yul Brynner said in "The King and I"..."Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.""Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant." -- Ann Coulter, P. 16
"While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security." -- Ann Coulter, P. 203
"Americans cannot comprehend how their fellow countrymen could not love their country. But the left's anti-Americanism is intrinsic to their entire worldview. Liberals promote the right of Islamic fanatics for the same reason they promote the rights of adulterers, pornographers, abortionists, criminals, and Communists. They instinctively root for anarchy against civilization. The inevitable logic of the liberal position is to be for treason." -- Ann Coulter, P. 292

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul." - Audrey Hepburn

Thank you, Cassie and Sirenna. I think that's one of the most beautiful thoughts I've ever come across upon. More Audrey Hepburn quotes: “Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.”
“I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.”
“Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”

I mentioned this thread to The Hubby and he whipped his favorite quote out with no problem. I'm so glad I married a smart guy... It is a line spoken by Merlin, in Sir Thomas Mallory's "Le Morte D'Arthur." "When a man lies, he murders some part of the world."[/i] I think I'll send it to good 'ol George W. caseyswife

That Audrey Hepburn was quite a lady.
Another lady I'm quite fond of, Dorothy Parker-
"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity."
"I might repeat to myself slowly and soothingly, a list of quotations beautiful from minds profound -- if I can remember any of the damn things."
"That would be a good thing for them to cut on my tombstone: Wherever she went, including here, it was against her better judgment."

Thanks for the Audrey Hepburn quotes NikkiGreen.
Ms. Hepburn was the epitome of class and dignity, the personification of what it means to be a real LADY. How unfortunate she left us way way too soon at the age of only 63.

Techguy, Audrey Hepburn, is not really just talking about being a LADY. She is talking more about being a Loving, caring human being She just used her own gender when describing how to a LOVE a real person
