All that talk about what to consume during CI got me hungry and thinking about CHOCOLATE!
I know, I know. There are way too many to list, so I just named the ones that came to mind first.
As usual, post what you picked and why. And elaborate further on your personal choice if it's not listed.

I have to vote for M & M's because they fit in your hands, they don't melt (unless you really squeeze them), and you can get them with or without peanuts, almonds, peanut butter, etc... Also, you can go to their website and get custom mixed colors!! Now, when are you going to vote, Poobah?? Mine was the first vote - I checked! And, I suspected you were the perfect man before, but now I know it for sure. You created a poll on CHOCOLATE!! caseyswife

Marry me, mr. T!!!! a man that shares my love for chocolate to configure a poll. I will cry.
I said none of the above because although I'm devoted to m&m's, my favorites are Cadbury's, Godiva and Ferrero Rocher.
And I can't vote for Reese's and milk duds because I don't know them.

I voted E All of the above because...I never met a piece of chocolate I didn't like! ;D Especially during CI or football or hockey games.

I forgot to mention Toblerone, the airport classic. I could stop eating all kind of sweet if my health asked me to but I can't stop eating chocolate, I must have it at least once a week. And I don't have it more often because of my hiatus hernia.
My birthday cake since I was 3 years old:
You mix egg yolks, whipped egg whites, butter, sugar and chocolate. Then you set a layer of cookies and a layer of chocolate blend, a layer of cookies, etc. You finish with chocolate and you cover it with classic m&m's, a few hours in the fridge and voilĂ . It is so rich my friends and family can't have it more than once a year. I would have it everyday.

Hee, I love it, a poll about chocolate! I voted for F (other). I never really liked chocolate growing up, but I was never exposed to very good stuff, and I'm not very into sweets. But then I married a chocoholic who is staunchly anti-Hershey's so I started exporing chocolate options so I could buy him sweet treats sometimes....I ended up with a chocolate habit, but for really odd really intense chocolates. My favorite thing is fancy bars. I always have a stash in the cupboard, and every once in awhile I break out a couple and we nibble them after dinner or during tv/movies, a little goes a long way. My favorites are Vosges and Dagoba....I like super dark chocolate with stuff like salt, wasabi, lavender or crushed chili in them. I admit, it's not for everyone, but it's turned into a bit of an addiction!

F, none of the above. I don't eat chocolate regularly, I mentioned under the consumption thread--whoa, not like it sounds--that when I want something sweet I go for Hershey's milk chocolate. Kisses are a nice way to check your portions, but sometimes a simple candy bar for one big mouthfull...yum. If anybody gets the chance to go to Hershey, PA, go. Lotsa fun, cool tour, and ya gotta love the company store!
Peppermint Patties are also nice. (That was Mama's indulgence of choice on Weight Watchers: save up her points so she could have a Peppermint Patty and a glass of wine at the end of the day.) Snow Caps are also quite nice. As are Andes mints, but I don't keep any of them around regularly.
Oooh, Toblerones! I forgot those! French club used to sell those things as fundraisers back in high school, so I got the impression they were some exotic luxury, until they turned up in every store you visit. Those are a surprise indulgence for me, similar to Ferrero Rocher's without quite as many delusions of sophistication.
Can you tell we're ready for new episodes? Gotta love our Grand Poobah, keeping us amused during the off season!

PS: While I'm not sure this counts for the chocolate purists, my Mama found a recipe for coconut macaroons dipped in chocolate. I swear I could eat my weight in those things---mix unsweetened coconut in so it's not too sickly, that's the trick. Also, we once tried a cappucino chocolate mousse cake from Earth Fare that was the best thing I ever put in my mouth.

Dark chocalate is my favourite, especially any that are sugar-free. The sugar seems to interfere with that tart, smoky taste I love. (I swear that I can smell the sugar.)
The very best chocolate I ever had was in Madrid. Thick, hot, laced with orange liquer and espresso. What sweet (!) dreams are made of. ;D

In Spain chocolate is always mixed with milk or cream, we never mix it with water or eat it alone. That is why I love it, it has to have milk.

Somehow, I knew we'd get a poll on chocolate (g)
Gee, Techguy, are you the perfect man? Well, aside from Bobby Goren.

Caseyswife and Patcat: I am Poobah, but Perfect Man?!? Mrs. T would have a big laugh at that one!
Spaniard: I KNOW chocolate is a surefire way to a marriage proposal--that's how Mrs. T and I got together! Enjoy the poll--and the chocolate!
And...as Poobah I had a feeling that amusement and levity is just what is needed to tide us over until the big night September 19. Hopefully I can come up with more of that until then.

None of the ones you mentioned, Techguy. My chocolate of choice is a Canadian one, Purdy's Chocolates. Their sold dark chocolate bars or ones known as Sweet Georgia Browns . Half of one those is more than enough. ;D

I just hope Mrs. T isn't too jealous of all your internet honeys and cyber marriages! And my own Daddy came armed with a box of truffles and a George Benson album when he proposed to Mama. Great minds think alike, huh? --Catbird

I just hope Mrs. T isn't too jealous of all your internet honeys and cyber marriages! Now that's a new title for me--Internet polygamist!
And no, Mrs. T isn't jealous. However, she does draw the line at calling me Poobah at home. She says that title belongs in my Internet life exclusively.
