Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's a reference to Marge Simpson's sisters on THE SIMPSONS.
Patcat (who confesses I don't quite get the reference, but there's a lot I don't get)

Can a person split their vote talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place!!

Thanks trisha. I voted "B". Another good epi, like "Blind Spot". I'm going to quit whining about the "dense" and "foreboding" story because it finally hit me (between the eyes) that I like overthinking and analyzing things to death. Duh! We're going to dissect the heck out of this one, just like last week's. It's not perfect, but at least it's not a reality show.

Yep, Patty and Selma are Marge Simpson's sisters. There was a Simpson's episode where Homer goes on an "Odyssey" and when he encounters the sirens he finds out they're Patty and Selma. He screams, "Ah, they're hideous!" and his friend Lenny cries, "Someone gouge out my eyes!"
I though it was funny, but maybe it's a little too obscure.
The last one is a Kurt Vonnegut reference to Sirens of Titan and a snark on WL's direction of the show. Ever had anyone tell you to take a flying f*ck at rolling donut? If you're a CI fan who hates soap, you might think of this episode as WL rolling a donut your way.

I like the ones for C and D, Trisha. I'll have to wait until I get around to seeing the episode before I can vote, though.

Thanks for putting up the poll Trisha, and for including a Kurt Vonnegut reference as one of the options.

For Pete's sake, why people hate it that much? I understand that people didn´t like it but ...an F? come on!
Changes are hard to digest but they are even harder if you see them as an attack to the purity of a show. I just see it as a way to find more audience that we like it or not is what keeps a show alive.

Now that you explained it to us Simpson-illiterate, it is funny. Thanks for the poll Trisha. I voted B, I'm still not sure how I feel about this epi as a whole, some things I liked a lot, others filled me with foreboding.

Thanks I hope that if WL sees this poll it won't hurt his feelings. I wasn't aiming at being mean to him, just to give the F grade a snarky line (it is the F, afterall.) But, in reading it again, I think it sounds like a kiss off, and I certainly didn't mean it that way. Sorry, Warren

If I had to vote right after the episode aired; I would have voted F (and with the Vonnegut reference it would have sealed the deal)...but to be fair, I voted C and to be even more fair; would have voted a B- if it was a choice.

I voted one of the F's - sorry Warren also - But to give it "context"
the F was for CI episodes ..... If I were rating it against all drama shows for that week - it would have rated a C from me as compared to what else is out there - it is still a forerunner; but compared to CI and why I personally watch the show - it needs some attention.

And I also gave SC one of the F's. To be fair, I waited 24 hours so as not to give a knee-jerk vote after what I experienced, which is to be visually and emotionally violated. I gave an F because I felt strongly that the episode FAILED miserably as a CI episode. It failed because it catered to the lowest common denominator of TV viewers and I am extremely offended by it. But as I said in my post on the episode thread, my only hope now is for the writers to get control of themselves and steer CI back on a course that emphasizes the psychology of the crime, and not the voyeuristic psycho violence associated with it.
