Does this board now have a spell checker, or is it just my computer? (I updated Windows today.)

The spell check feature has been available since the Proboards update in early 2005.

Why doesn't my Last Login Date in my profile coincide with the date/time I last visited or posted on the board? I randomly selected a few other members, and noticed some of them did have correct dates, others like myself do not. I checked my profile and couldn't find anything to modify to correct the error.

Techguy, could you please provide an example of the time discrepancy?

Jethro, in my profile my Last Login Date is listed 11/7/05 at 16:51 which is most definitely not correct as I post on an almost daily basis. When I went to the profiles of some other members at random, I noticed that for some, the login date either coincided with their most recent posting or was fairly recent, indicating a login but no posting.
Patcat, for example, shows a Last Login Date Today and she did indeed post today. Other members have a big discrepancy between their login dates and most recent posting just as mine does. LOCIfan, for example, shows a Last Login Date of 9/21/06 at 11:54 even though the most recent post is 4/21/06.

I noticed that too, Techguy, that some posters log in dates are way back when. I figured that some people don't always log out. Meaning, that they don't click on the log out icon on top and then re-log in when they visit the site. I noticed that the mod's all have last log in dates in 2004. Does this help you? Or do you always log out and log in and still your dates are off?

The log in date and time stamp is from the last time you (and others) signed on while being visible to other members. For you, Techguy, this was November 7, 2005 at 6:51PM.
Members can only see these 'visible' times.
The log in times for "invisible" members can only seen by the staff.

I appreciate the suggestion DonnaJo, but jethro's explanation makes sense as I do indeed have been logging in as invisible. Thanks to both of you for your help.

Still a rookie--can someone answer this question for me? When I want to quote a poster's comments, how do I get the comment to appear in the box, in small text above my post/comment/reply? I've been copying and pasting the posted comment that I want to use, then typing my comments/replies. Is the "quote" button/icon used for this function? Thanks. r2r

Thanks. r2r There may be an easier way to do this, R2R (and perhaps the Global Mod can tell us) but I simply start at thje place where QUOTE in brackets is adjacent to the poster's name and end with open bracket-QUOTE preceded by a backslash-close brackets at the end of the portion I want to cite. [ ]poster's name and [/ ]. I found that when I tried to demonstrate it I quoted myself . ;-) So just imagine the word quote within the brackets. Hope this helps. AL

I'm looking for the Q&A interview, M. Balcer gave this Board a while back. I digged through the threads (great trip down memory lane) and tried the search engine without success. Help!
