I see your point OBC - I just think Alex would've been good to do it, too. I'm not saying leave Bobby out of it (he's good to chime in, in fact he does it in many other eps), but I don't like the way he dominates that scene and Alex just sits there. I already thought it was odd that Bobby would talk to Sophie in "Crazy", so I really think this would've been a chance for Alex. This scene makes Alex weaker than she is.
I'm also not so sure whether Bobby got that scene because of the story, or so he can be the hero. I guess this scene rather is a symptom of how underused KE/Eames was and how much they undermined the fact that Goren was "Sherlock" and Eames was "Watson".
I like the ep. I just think they missed a great opportunity.

Of course the dramatic reason for Goren to lead the interrogation is that he's the hero of the series, and he gets the arias and duets (g).
But I think it's also possible that Goren and Eames had decided he would take the lead since that is his role most of the time. If Maggie didn't respond to him, then Eames would've made an attempt to talk to her. They were also showing Maggie that Eames--a small woman--could be very tough and strong. And perhaps Eames felt too angry to handle the questioning.?

I'm sure that Eames wasn't too angry to do the questioning. I guess though that you are right, they had agreed that he'd question Maggie or would at least take over if she didn't respond to Eames. That's a mutual understanding between the two - the other one steps in when it's necessary. Like Eames asks Matic to show his tatoo in the next scene...
