By the way, am I the only one who noticed Goren was cleaned shaven with the coin guy? Then in the next scene, he has a fully grown beard? Something else on my list of things to look for when I view this episode again. If you're correct Summerfield, then the lack of continuity in "Depths" is even more glaring.

It's interesting, but aside from a slight thing for Ronald Colman, I don't usually go for dark eyed guys, but I find Mr. D'Onofrio very attractive. Meloni has terrific eyes, but has yet to make my heart do little glips (g).
The vests--life jackets or protective--never are big enough for him.
I didn't particularly notice his clothes, but I suspect both the stubble--which didn't strike me as especially rough; it seemed neatly clipped--and clothes might have been meant to suggest Goren's unhappy state of mind.
Episodes get scheduled for strange reason. It wouldn't surprise me if DEPTHS was the first episode filmed because of the expense of the diving sequences and the need for better weather to film those scenes(and the weather gets more iffy as fall and winter go on). It wouldn't surprise me if the opening sequence for AMENDS was orginally filmed for DEPTHS. But as others have noted, AMENDS was the stronger opener for the season, even if it caused all sorts of continuity problems.
As usual, my two bits Patcat

Ronald Colman is AWESOME. As to Mr. D'Onofrio, I know that I personally will watch him with stubble, without stubble, with a vest, without a vest, in a boat, with a goat, everywhere, anywhere, and what have you. ** In other news, and in another thread, some of you have been wondering whether or not doughnuts symbolized a Goren tryst with the ballistics expert. I have scoured the internet and found counterevidence from Eames herself, in a sound file, archived here** **Oh, the lengths to which some of us will go to avoid cleaning the house! ...

Ok, there was something uh, disconcerting about Ross and Rodgers' interaction.
Rats. I was kinda hoping Goren and Rodgers might have something. Or even Rodgers and Eames (g).

I hope this is the appropriate place to post my comment regarding Goren¡¦s stubble/beard. As I type this, I¡¦m watching the repeat broadcast and noticed what I think is a blooper. When Goren and Eames are questioning the coin buyer, Goren¡¦s face is smooth, no hint of a beard. In the next scene, when they are questioning Stipe, the beard reappears. The fact that G&E are wearing the same outfits in both scenes leads me to believe the interviews occurred on the same day. Check out the Depths screen captures from The Reel Vincent site and notice the second and third photos from the bottom of Goren.
BTW: I¡¦ve enjoyed all of the episodes featuring G/E so far this season. And dare I say it, I even like the opening them music. ƒº

Ok, I still think Harper was going for the walkie-talkie and then fell into the water. Goren pulled away from him, but I think the most he was guilty of was not trying to stop Harper from falling.

I think Eames tried to mitigate the building tension between Goren and Harper by citing the Miranda rights before Goren was provoked to the point of losing control. As much as I want to believe that Harper fell into the water because he charged after the walkie talkie like a bull, I think Goren shoved him. Not that I blame him . . .

I really enjoyed this episode and I believe the was an interview with VDO that did say this year was going to be more character driven - which I totally enjoy. I like the tension with Ross & Rodgers, can't wait to see how that plays out. I'm beginning to like Ross more & more with each episode.
Ok silly question - I was wonder if anyone else happen to notice that the Locks to the storage area were different when they went back to open it? When they were originally locking it there were 2 locks with keys which were kind of brownish but when they went back there was only lock which to me looked like it was a combination lock. I'm just wondering if that was a blooper or if it was changed for a reason?

Oh yeah, and at the end when Harper falls into the water - When I watched it the 1st time I would have said it was an accident but after the second viewing it does look like Goren kind of tosses him into the water...
