I maintain Bobby didn't push Harper into the sea. He just didn't stop him from falling in.

I believe that Amends was always meant to be the premier episode. At the beginning Bobby is still on leave from his mother's death. Ross say's to Bobby at the hospital something to the effect that he still had two weeks leave left and Bobby responds "it Doesn't matter a cop has been shot". ( I would love to work for an organization that gives you so much time. Where I work it is 3 days) Before they started having two teams the episodes were often aired in a different order than they were filmed. And Patcat I am with you, I think Harper fell in and that Bobby just made no effort to catch him. I know I wouldn't.

I agree with you, idget. The teaser in "Amends" shows a continuity from "Endgame." And I think Bobby has all sorts of vacation time saved to take a few weeks off. I don't think its actually bereavement leave, per se. In hindsight, I appreciate this episode for the little tidbits that tjara described so well. The library scenes, beautifully done. And I'm sorry, Patcat, but I also think that Goren "led" Harper into the water.

Yes idget, I agree, Amends was always supposed to be the season opener, even though shot out of sequence. Today I went back to the teaser, and there's just too many references and continuity to Endgame that don't make sense otherwise or that they went to reshoot if they really rescheduled the eps. But then there still are no references in "Depths", so I still think Amends was always gonna be the premiere. The Kitchen-Floor scene would make no sense in Depths. The only indication really is the scruff, because Goren is scruffy when Eames calls him and at the hospital, but the next day, when he's at the crime scene, he's clean shaven. But then as I said before, it's not that hard to get scruffy I think "Crazy" from the first Season is also one of the eps completely shot out of sequence. It was like the fourth ep they did, I think, but it's only 1:13.

"Led" is one way of putting it, DJ. LOL! When we all first posted in this thread, I went back and watched that ending again and again and again, and each time, I still came to the same conclusion. It really looks to me as though Harper is grabbing for the radio and he just barely gets his hand on Bobby and then Harper gets his arm twisted, starts to go over, and gets a little "flip" from Bobby to "help" him along. It wasn't an actual "grab and shove", it was more like an open opportunity and Bobby decided to take it.

Everybody who has the chance, please watch Bobby/VDO during the conversation with Eames and Ross, when Ross tells them that Chili is dead. There's a little "arm-folding"-goof in that scene as it cuts back and forth between different angles. Obviously VDO didn't fold the arms on the same line in a minimum of two different takes, what surprises me, because he's usually accurate in those things, but anyway. Watch and enjoy

You get the Golden Eyeball Award! It was interesting hearing that clip in another language.

You get the Golden Eyeball Award! I blame it on VDO. He's just so darn interesting to watch, but if you repeat a scene for the 1000th time, at some point you start catching that stuff... Just like the needles from Suite Sorrow. Though I'm still trying to figure out what he did to his binder so he can shoot the needles at it... Heavens. I think it's turned into an incurable case of CI fever!

Welcome to our world, Tjara! LOL! I certainly confess to being obsessed. I don't even want to admit how many times I rewound Depths to watch that little "slip". In fact, I'm not sure if I know. I lost count after about the tenth or eleventh time.

Well, my TV connection broke on the slip *darn*, though from what is there, I have to say I'm with Patcat. Bobby didn't intend for Harper to take the dive, he just didn't prevent it, either There's no cure, no?

I thought it was obvious he grabbed him and let him slip.

If he did, he did it only with one hand

Yes, I was echoing OBC's assessment.
