Nikki, you were watching Scrubs while I was trying NOT to watch our President. So I still have not seen previews myself, but am looking forward to taping the episode and rewinding again and again like I did when he danced in Unrequited. Watching Eames' reaction is always just as much fun!

3 hour time difference, Lil'E! ;D Mr. Bush was long gone from my TV screen before I even got home from work! Unfortunately, he messed up my viewing schedule I'm going to have to miss "24" because it's been moved to Sunday at 9:00 for this week.

Thanks for the link, Darmok. That's the same CI/CJ preview I saw on Tuesday night!

I finally saw the preview (I also did not watch the re-run) and in the preview I saw Goren made a whinny sound with his mouth full shut. CrackerJack Well, naturally. ;D Since horses whinny with their mouths closed doing it that way gives a better imitation of the resonance -- so of course that's how he'd do it. Sounded pretty good to me. Catbird, I don’t think Goren’s too big to do serious riding. Years ago I used to lease a horse at a public stable. One of the guys who owned his own horse there was built a lot like D’Onofrio. He rode a big warmblood – a kind of horse that runs 16 to 18 hands – which means between 5’4” and 6 feet tall at the shoulder. The warmblood was a pinto – a color pattern unusual in warmbloods except in Eastern Europe – so the two of them made quite a striking pair! The horse I was leasing was half Appaloosa and half Belgian – a kind of draft horse – so he was pretty tall, himself; but those two towered over us. I used to love to watch them. Watching a well-trained warmblood is like watching D’Onofrio dance – grace and strength and perfect control. I’d love to see D’Onofrio ride, but I don’t think he has ever ridden in a role. I was all excited when I ordered the Newton Boys – and every other member of the gang was shown riding... but not his character. Oh, well. I doubt we see it in the episode, either, though one can always hope. I think you’re right about Eames. She’s not likely to have been sent to riding lessons on her dad’s salary! And her focus on cars – as young as age 8 – means she probably wasn’t hanging around the Central Park stables, offering to groom and clean stalls in return for rides, as some of us did when we were kids (not in Central Park, in my case, but at the local rental stable). It would be interesting to see how she would react around horses. They’re big beasts, and short people often feel intimidated around them if they don’t know how to handle them. But horses are also very social, and a dominant personality can go a long way towards making them behave. Barking “Move it!” in her cop voice would probably clear her a path through most paddocks.
