It's probably a sign I've been hanging out on TWoP too much. Also, I was having problems with my connection earlier and it was actually easier to post that way -- not sure why.

oh, pluzeeez
Yes, I'm sure we would all be shocked to see Nicole back again (not). I know the disagreements fly on this issue, so whatever. But this character is not nemesis material. She is ok criminal intent material for one damn episode - but she is not nearly clever enough to match wits with some of our real criminals; let alone our hero of a dective.
I sure hope this 2 part finale is otherwise focused - but I doubt it. You want a nemesis for Goren? (asking mostly the writers/Rene/NBC) I say you are polluting the dream that was CI with unnecessary and unrealistic blond drama. Now d'Abo - I think she actually is a fine actress & all her efforts with Nicole have been fine, just that it should have stopped with the university - yes - with her getting away, criminals often do, but that should have ended it.
Oh my oh my ohmy ..... not another season finale I don't want to watch. Bishop and now this - I am going to feel most cheated with Season 3.

I think that Nicole won't be back until next season...probably during the November sweeps period.

Well, I wans't a member of a board during all the Nicole talk, but I vaguely remember reading some of the old conversations that took place. One, maybe two episodes were OK. Personally, since they made the decision to bring her back in "Person of Interest" I was hoping they would spend an episode anctually in the courtroom for her trial--can't you imagine what the lawyer would do to GOren on cross? In addition to giving Jonesy a chance to show off--oops, Carver, just caught myself!
But this is getting hokey now. It is possible for people to develop obsessions, but it just seems so out of place for our characters. I haven't seen Olivia D'Abo in much, but considering she was originally cast as Novalyn in "Whole Wide World" we can assume D'Onofrio thinks a lot of her and he probably pushed to get her cast in the first place. If they want to bring her back do it once--if you want to make it effective you save it for the final season, not the series finale but at some point during that year.
But with the reference we got in one of those earlier episodes this season (help me!) we all jumped on it and can imagine she's coming back. My guess is we're going to hear some more about that enigmatic big brother, if he actually exists. Oh lord--anybody's guess, do we get parsnips or sherry this time?
I'm with Metella, this was not the best season. SOmeone somewhere said that this year felt short--probably because we kept going in fits and starts as opposed to a steady line of episodes. Bishop was necessary, but not enjoyable. Sentimentalist twit that I am I was disappointed they didn't do more with Eames' baby, although I think I"m in the minority on that. Oh well, let's look to season 4!

Per nbcmv:
FICO DI CAPO May 9, 2004 at 9:00PM
SLAYINGS OF WITNESS AND COP POINT TO UNHAPPY FAMILY TIED TO DYING DON -- The murders of a government mob witness and an undercover police officer put Detectives Goran (VIncent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) deep inside the ugly family tree of a dying Mafia don (as Mario, guest star TBA) whose last living son is being challenged by a ratty punk (as Rickie, guest star TBA) who's both smart -- and good with a knife. Their family feud is clouded by the possible involvement of cruel Russian mobsters but Goran keeps his focus on the young men who secretly call upon the bed-ridden don -- and the unlikely key could be a trail of juicy Sicilian black figs. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

FICO DI CAPOMay 9, 2004 at 9:00PM ---- and the unlikely key could be a trail of juicy Sicilian black figs. Perhaps the connection is just a fig-ment of Goren's imagination. ;D ;D ;D Why do we have to wait yet another week for a new episode and have to suffer through an earthquake movie ("10.5"). Let California fall into the sea. I want my LOCI fix, dammit!!!!! D.

Okay, I'm doing the forbidden... discussing a promo!
It looks like D.A.W is about another lovely megalomaniac, and what a fitting title- D.A.W, as our dearest Ronni would know, stands for "dispense as written" and is an order a doctor gives a pharmacist so s/he doesn't substitute the drug prescribed with a generic.
In otherwords, "Do exactly as I say!" Heh. And I just love Goren's response to megalomaniacs [evil grin]

Thanks for the heads up on the title - I did not know what that acronym was. Maybe we can hear more from Ronni soon. I'm very glad that it looks like D.A.W. will be on next week instead of another repeat. Just what the doctor ordered for that LOCI withdrawal I've been having..... D.
